We published our first State of AI Fluency report. Here's what 412 assessments taught us.

Building aisa.to (AI skills assessment through conversation), and we just shipped our first proper data report: aisa.to/state-of-ai-fluency

Some numbers that surprised us:

  • Average AI skill score: 52 out of 100. Most people land in the "Enthusiast" range.
  • 62% scored below Proficient. The gap between "I use AI" and "I use AI well" is massive.
  • Safety scored lowest at 45/100. Almost nobody has a systematic process for verifying AI output.
  • Zero people scored as "Oracle" (our top tier). Not one out of 412.

Biggest takeaway: self-reported AI skill is basically useless as a signal. People who rated themselves as advanced often demonstrated basic practices when observed.

We're B2C right now but the B2B signal is getting louder — HR teams asking how to use this for hiring.
