This looks useful for quick iteration. One thing I’m curious about is how you’re positioning it against tools people already use like Photoshop or Canva. Is the main value speed, simplicity, or collaboration? That clarity might help it feel more “must-have.”
So I was trying out the erase feature, wiping some text at the bottom of an image. Idk if I'm just dumb lol but I tried using the tool and each time I dragged the tool through the text, nothing would happen. Am I just doing it wrong?
This is directionally solid, but the differentiation isn’t clear yet.
From a user’s POV, the core question is: why DropEdit over existing brush + prompt tools? Speed alone won’t be enough once everyone ships that.
What could make this a must-have is leaning harder into the workflow layer versioning, side-by-side comparisons, and decision context (why one edit beats another). That’s where most image tools still break for real teams.
If you can clearly show how DropEdit helps people decide faster, not just edit faster, that’s where PMF might live.

1. **Would I use it?** Yes, specifically for the "quick iteration" use case. The gap in the market isn't "AI image editing" (plenty of that) - it's the workflow around rapid A/B testing of visual variants without context-switching between tools.
2. **What feels unclear?** The "brush mask + prompt" workflow is intuitive, but I'd want to see how it handles precision. Does it work well for small detail changes, or is it better for broader edits?
3. **Must-have territory:** Version comparison side-by-side in the project view. If I'm iterating on product images for ads, being able to quickly compare 5 variants and pick winners would be huge. Bonus if I can share that comparison view with a client or team for feedback.
The "project workflow" angle is underrated in your positioning - that's what makes this sticky vs one-off AI tools. Most competitors dump you back to file management hell after each edit.
