We’re building Planlay — a simple staff scheduling tool (looking for feedback!)

Hey Indie Hackers! 👋

We’re a team of three friends building Planlay — a simple web app that helps small business owners and team leads easily create and share weekly staff schedules.

💡 Why are we building it?

One of us used to help run a small coffee shop, and scheduling was always a headache.
Every week it was the same story: chaotic group chats, messy Excel sheets, people showing up at the wrong time, and last-minute changes.

We thought: there has to be a better way — and if there isn’t, let’s build one.

⚙️ What Planlay does (so far):

• One-click schedule creation — Planlay builds the weekly shift schedule for you based on employee availability, vacations, sick days, and more

• Drag & drop editor — easily fine-tune or adjust shifts manually

• Instant sharing — send the schedule to your team in one click

• Works on any device — no downloads or training needed

We want it to be the fastest and easiest way to schedule shifts — especially for small teams like cafes, salons, restaurants, or retail shops.
