We started an open-source project to make building in public easier

After working with a handful of teams to help them share their metrics in public, we created an OSS repo to make adding an /open page to your site easy.

Check it out on GitHub → https://github.com/sequin-io/open

An /open page transparently shares your key revenue and performance metrics. It's the quantitative source of truth that can back all your updates to your users, investors, and team.

But building these pages is a bit of a chore. Getting the data together, graphing it, etc. It's enough friction to keep you from taking the dive, and building in public.

This repo gives you a clean UI and simple data tools powered by Stripe, Airtable, and our company (Sequin) so you can add an /open page to your site in a couple of minutes. You can customize and add to it however you need.

If you start building an /open page using this repo and Sequin, shoot me a note (email in the repo) so we can help you build. We also have a startup scholarship.

Kudos to Ghost, cal.com, and Open Startup for the inspiration 🤙

This is fantastic, I love how you’re focusing on making it easier for people to build in public — that’s a major roadblock for so many founders.

I’m really looking forward to checking out the repo.

    This looks great.
If I ever scale my product will definitely use it.
