We think AI-driven job loss may create demand for a new kind of human work

One thing we keep thinking about at Focido:

If AI automates more repeatable work, what kinds of work become more valuable?

Our current answer is: work built on human follow-through.

A lot of productivity tools help people plan. Very few help them actually do the thing. The gap is usually not information. It’s motivation, timing, accountability, emotional friction.

So we built Focido around a human layer.

In the app, users can get support from real motivators who nudge them, check in, and help them follow through on goals. We’re not trying to build “life coaching” in the flashy internet sense. We’re trying to structure something simpler and more useful: human accountability.

What’s interesting is that this may also become a real income stream.

If traditional roles get squeezed by AI, there may be more demand for work that depends on empathy, trust, timing, and social pressure. In our case, that means people earning inside the app by helping other people stay on track.

Still early, obviously. But the idea feels increasingly relevant.
