Web devs who don’t like design, how do you design your websites?

I have been using TailwindCSS in my projects but because it doesn’t force a style on me I tend to make pretty horrendous design decisions most of the time.

What are some methods, mental models, frameworks etc. that you use to make your websites?

    Highly recommend https://www.refactoringui.com.
It's the most approachable, practical how-to read you'll ever find on user interface design. Nothing but clear examples on what works & why/when it doesn't. Bonus: All the principles then built into Tailwind. Then for concrete implementations of layout and design with Tailwind I use https://tailwindui.com.

I search for site with somewhat similar functionality and than i steal their design and implement it in tailwind with little bit modification here and there. If its from another designer i even mail them that i am stealing their design most of them are happy to share they even sugges improvements yet to get any negative response from anyone :-)

As Picasso used to say "good artists borrow, great artists steal" haha. I'll try doing that. Thank you for the tip!

Chakra UI. Or, find your own component library that fits your taste. Another one I've used in the past that I like is grommet.
