Web stack to start a simple website

I'm a backend engineer with more than 10 years of experience, but I was never interested in web development and I consider myself quite bad at UI design. However, if I want to start a business or a quick website, I need to know how to build this. What stack do you recommend I should start learning to be able to quickly build a simple website? I'm also always tempted to spin up a backend service for the API, but maybe firebase is a better and quicker option? (never used it)
What is a common stack you guys use when spining up your online presence?
Or, given my limitations, using a website builder would be a better option?

I always say go with WordPress (that's what I'm using) because you can use it to blog as well which will help with SEO. In one-month I was able to get over 2,000 unique visitors from that strategy alone.

    My stack:

    WordPress
    SiteGround (hosting)
    Kadence Theme (free)
Yoast SEO (paid, but free version exists)
Elementor (page builder for WordPress, paid & free)

For me, Typedream (www.typedream.com) was a game changer. I've been able to build and launch really awesome looking landing pages in less than an hour. Also, their slack community is amazing and very helpful!
