WEBCode serverless notebooks released!

I have worked extensively in the cloud space for the last 8 years. I was an original member of Firebase pre-acquisition, worked in Google Cloud for 4 years, and was a Cloud architecture consultant for another 3 years.

We made serious mistakes! The current generation of serverless is developer hostile. I decided to reimagine it from the ground up with a focus on the developer experience. The result is http://webcode.run

I partner with Observablehq.com. They provide reactive cutting edge development IDE on the web, and WEBCode.run provides a serverless compute layer. Together you can build complete digital services inside literate programming notebooks.

WEBCode.run offers instant deploys and the ability to debug production traffic live. Observable provides a literate programming environment and hot code reloading.

This results in the fastest possible inner development loop and completely self-encapsulated services: backend + frontend + technical documentation in a single URL, with one click forking.

This is not a watered down no-code environment. Some significantly complex software has been built

Today we launched on Product Hunt. Check it out https://www.producthunt.com/posts/webcode-run
