Website information as a service (API)

Hey,
What do you think about the service that will provide information about other sites - like Open Graph Tags, title, favicon, description etc. Think how Slack is showing the short preview of the link from the message.

I hope that my clients would be other SaaS projects.
How this could be helpful? Let's say you are offering analytics service or bookmarking tool. Your client adds his domain to be tracked. Then you can call my service API to get JSON response with links to the icon, description and image representing the the site/page.
