Wednesday Edition: Daily Stand Up

Why?

That extra nudge of accountability to achieve even a small step on your IH journey each day.

To join in:

01 Share your epic (a big chunk of work with a meaty objective) you'd like to complete by the end of May.

02 Share what you accomplished yesterday.

03 Share what you commit to accomplishing today.

04 Comment on at least one fellow hacker's progress and give them an IH Point for their check in.

Optional:

05 Share your Work In Progress to underscore your accomplishments.

Then tune in the tomorrow to share how you did on your own tasks!

      1. 1

It does. But I 've six more rounds! It's a daunting amount of work!

    Kudos
@vcmartins @Harlem for working on courses. I've written blog posts before and I know how draining just those one off posts were to write.

Thanks for the kudos! Like the new CTA! And luck finding beta testers?

      1. 1

Nah...I think I may have built something with an audience of me. That's alright though, this was one of those projects that I had to build or it would drive me insane.

  3. 4

Epic: Launch Naminator, Bianna, and Dating site by end of 2019. Have one of them gain traction.

Today: Worked on re-architecting the API so a progress bar can be shown while names are being generated.

Tomorrow: Hopefully finish it and get The progresss bar being shown

Congrats on the sale, that’s awesome. Don’t discount the $5, if you can do that you can do $50, $500, and $5000.

    2. 1

Awwwww yeah, baby! First subscriber! Congrats!

    2019 EPIC

    • 5 paying customers for Automated API
    • grow Threadbase.io by 25 paying users
    • 250 downloads of DotNetNitro artifacts (code or extension)

    MAY EPIC

    • Get content trickling for Threadbase as demonstrated by 4 articles and 4 email chain additions
    • Launch DotNetNitro as demonstrated by live site with link to deployed artifact, downloadable source code for 4 templates, and install-able VS 2019 extension.
    • Get AutomatedAPI live and running as demonstrated by 10 alpha users (0/10)

    YESTERDAY (and weekend):

    • I launched a signup page for DotNetNitro
    • Built a new DotNetNitro base template
    • Revised previous template
    • Took a final (one more task on my school list, then it's pedal to metal time)
    • Indications are that my client work is now in beta with the clients users (I've gotten a bunch of insight from this contract that I think will be useful for AutomatedAPI)
    • Watched my sister get married!

    TODAY:

    • Blog Post for DotNetNitro.com
    • Review existing emails for Threadbase.io
    • Run some tests on AutomatedAPI.com and scope what needs to be done to get a functional demo running enough to write a basic How-To.
    • NoSQL coursework

    KUDOS:
@aliakhtar good to see that ambition, hope you can get all three launched

    WIP
    AutomatedAPI.com
    DotNetNitro.com
    Threadbase.io

This only works because I'm strategically using DNN and Threadbase tasks to fill times when I need a distraction. It keeps me from falling into YouTube rabbit holes or badly timed Netflix binges. It's actual work, but lets those two feel a little more passive relative to AutomatedAPI.

    1. 2

Haha. Netflix and Amazon Prime are the bane of my productivity!

  6. 2

    EPIC

    1. 2019
      • $25K annual revenue
    2. May
      • $2000 in sales

    YESTERDAY

    • Collect social proof and assets for branding.
    • Schedule follow up emails.

    TODAY

    1. List my current/past founder problems.

    KUDOS
    @Harlem @jakes @aliakhtar @vcmartins @jpusateri @Davey keep up the great work everyone!

    WIP
Get clarity on the market and the customer!

side note doing some customer development on damn self before I bug anybody else.

    1. 2

When you find clarity... would you be willing to pass some that my way?

      1. 1

Of course, you know I got you boo. ;-)
