    Spring Fever is RIGHT!

Been a busy week. I keep thinking I can start this routine up again but it keeps dropping down the list. Trying to balance distractions against a too-full plate lately.

    EPIC:

    March:

    • (Agency) Get first contract complete with good reaction and results.

    • (Product) Get AutomatedApi to an ALPHA ready state.

I've changed my tune a bit in terms of aggressiveness of the release of AutomateApi.com as a product. My day job is at a potentially big customer so I've decided to focus more on building content around it and completing the product so I can hit the ground running and build a consulting business around it.

    2019:

    • (Agency) Replace full time job with steady contract work and enlist at least one partner developer.

    • (Product) Release with 5 paying customers

    YESTERDAY:

    • (Agency) Reached out to customer

    • (Agency) fixed several bugs and completed hooking up new upload logic to project management API

    • (Agency) Scheduled meeting to begin transition of a business acquisition into the portfolio

    • (Product) tested generated service to make sure it would natively compile before implementing the deployment pipeline

    TODAY:

-(Agency) Demo and Review with customer

-(Agency) Lay out next week of work and contract wrap-up conditions

    -(Agency) Begin asset transition

    KUDOS:

@Harlem and @helengriffinjr for keeping the train rolling while the rest of us dropped the ball.

    WIP:

    AutomatedApi.com

Are congrats in order re business acquisition?

      1. 1

        Maybe :P

Pondering how best to make the announcement.

  2. 3

Just popping in to say I love you guys! In all seriousness, had unexpected out of state court prep and appearances, so I'm big time in a rabbit hole.

Looking forward for this rough patch to end! Highly doubtful I will get to anything today except maybe some late night planning.

  3. 3

    EPIC

    By end of 2019:

    5K MR

    By end of March:

    • Publish 18 articles. (18/18 determined, 8/18 written, 7/18 published)

    • Conduct 3 post experiments with a minimum CTR of 2.69%.

    • Increase organic growth from 0 to 11 persons (6 of 11).

    • Persuade an additional 15 influencers to contribute posts. (13/15 - Converting much better now that I've a flippin' website!)

    YESTERDAY

    • Add affiliate links to Round Up post.

    • Tinkered with social automation.

    • Followed up with influencers.

    • Attempted to organize the influencer funnel.

    • Requested another round of illustrations.

    TODAY

    • Set up experiment #1 via Google ads.

    • Create five new influencer posts.

    • Follow up with influencers.

    • Create template for Reviews post.

    • Create outline for next Pillar post.

    • Finish scraping algorithm.

    • Finish adding rich snippets.

    • Redesign navigation.

KUDOS: @helengriffinjr for holding down the daily stand up with me!

    1. 2

Hot damn, that's a list. I dig your style, the specificity of your lists the last couple weeks seems to have helped make you a lot more productive.

      1. 1

(Laughing!) Thanks! Specificity ain't a choice. After work, I don't have the willpower to figure out what to do. I let the stand up spoon feed me.

        1. 1

Oh I totally get that, specificity in task definitions is maybe the best way to get started on a task when you're running out of self-starting juice in the after hours down time.

  4. 2

    EPIC

    1. 2019

      • $50K annual revenue
    2. March

      • Get a remote job.

      • Get 10 customers to confirm a real problem.

      • Schedule customer interviews/calls.

    YESTERDAY

    • Apply for jobs.

    • Daily customer research.

      1. Find users/chats using SEO terms/phrases to actively talk about a problem.

        • quite a few of the terms resulted in ads/marketing w/no user engagement
      2. Identified 10/joined 5 specific channels.

        • Find active lead sources where I can observe, learn & engage in.

    TODAY

    • Apply for jobs.
