Why?
That extra nudge of accountability to achieve even a small step on your IH journey each day.
To join in:
01 COMMENT on AT LEAST ONE fellow hacker's progress and give them an IH Point for their check in. Let's get in there with the encouragement/feedback! (Changing the order, because I know we can do better!)
02 Share your epic (a big chunk of work with a meaty objective) you'd like to complete by the end of August.
03 Share what you accomplished yesterday.
04 Share what you commit to accomplishing today.
Optional:
05 Share your Work In Progress to underscore your accomplishments.
Then tune in the tomorrow to share how you did on your own tasks!

It's kind of strange to write the standup from another timezone, because if I'm writing it in the morning, I am writing basically one day later than you, and if I'm writing the evening like now, the "TODAY" which represent the future represents for me tomorrow :D

@flog the time zones doesnโt matter. Focus on your needs as a founder and leader and youโll get the best results from your efforts by doing these daily stand ups!
Thanks for the double kudos! Yeah, Iโm learning to focus on 1 thing until itโs done before worrying or tackling dependent tasks. Donโt need to spend time setting up billing when you donโt have a customer, a value prop or a problem to solve. ๐ Yeah, learning to crawl before running is key! ๐

@jimmylipham thanks for the love!
Very rarely startups die because of competition. Let the needs of your customers be your north ๐ star.
Is the documentation for you/team or customers? What tools are you using? I got to document too before I forget stuff. God I hate doing this, itโs so boring.
By end of August, I'll have proven whether my online course was a one hit wonder or is a source of recurring revenue.

Running late to work. Will circle back this evening after I have a chance to read everyone's stand up goodies.
๐๐พ @Janice look at what your target ๐ฏ market is doing in response to Mogul aka you. Note ๐ down every word they speak & action (and inaction) they do when you engage with them. Are they using another channel, platform or tool to figure you out? If I was you Iโd try to call/email them to understand the ways they are trying to dis/qualify you? This could be clues to their buyer journey. Remember their journey has absolutely nothing to do with our sales cycle, business, founder & financial needs.
Good luck! ๐๐พ๐You got this.
Oh no!
That feels very premature!
You already have people willing to pay $1000 for something that doesn't even exist yet - that's definitely not a loss in my eyes. If anything, it's a super promising start!
If you want to talk through anything - be it on the motivation side or the $ making side of the course, just shoot me an email and we can exchange notes :)
@Janice don't feel that way. Try to distance yourself from the situation, but don't give up. As one said once: You fail only when you give up.
My personal advice, is not to judge the idea, but the method. It's most of the time easier to judge and change the method than the idea. Because lots of people thinks their idea is part of them, so judging the idea is judging them.
Anyway, I truely believe that everybody grow from experience! Best of luck!
