Hello IH'ers,
Last week was my first full week on Career Switch To Coding. Thanks for all the support so far, here is a Monday morning recap and plan post.
What I did:
- Launched landing page
- Wrote 10,000 works of the book (about halfway through I think)
- Started Tweeting (@allthecode_)
- Announced landing page launch on my Instagram (@allthecode)
- Setup MailChimp, wrote a welcome email, created welcome automation
- Completed another 2 sections of Amy Hoy's YearOfHustle
- Worked the last day of my old job (the new one starts on 2nd Aug so I have 4 full weeks)
- Wrote a couple of posts here on Indie Hackers and got amazing comments from people
- Asked 7 people if I can interview them for site content
Results:
- 495 visits to the website
- 31 people on the mailing list
- 38 followers on Twitter (boy is Twitter hard)
- 54 new Instagram followers (up to 2317)
- 1 reply to welcome email
- 2 confirmed interviews
This week:
- Move site from Carrd/DropInBlog to Wix or Squarespace
- Submit a conference speaking proposal
- Post Junior++ weekly theme content on IG and Twitter
- Finish the first draft of the careerswitchtocoding.com book
- Write and publish 2 blog posts
- Write a dev.to and Hackernoon article and submit them
- Nail down a concept with an illustrator
- Plan 5 pieces of content separate from the book
