Week 2: 300 users, $0 MRR, and X banned me for no reason.

Week 1 we hit first 100 users. This week: 300. Uhuu...

Sounds like progress. Here's the reality from week 1:

  • 37 fully completed onboarding

  • ~16 created a contract

  • 5 sent one to a client

  • 0 paying users

The activations was broken. So I focused on that...

What worked for marketing:

  • TAAFT (There's An AI For That) - $325 for a listing, brought 361 sessions in a week. Still driving traffic daily. Best money I've spent so far.

  • LinkedIn organic - up 475% week-over-week. Building in public is actually working. 1,600+ followers now.

  • Cold email - 4 domains warming up. Launching in 2 weeks.

What didn't work:

  • X/Twitter - account suspended out of nowhere. No warning, no explanation. Lost $200 in unused ad credits and my Gold subscription. No refund. Just gone...

I had 20 followers. Just replying... What exactly was I doing wrong?

  • Product Hunt - launched with 7 upvotes. Completely invisible. Dead on arrival.

100 users means nothing if nobody activates. So I fixed the dashboard and onboarding. Lesson learned.

Congrats on the launch, looks solid. What channels are you experimenting with to get early users?

Focusing myself on Linkedin and AEO mostly

Totally fair, LinkedIn and AEO work well. Have you considered using Reddit quietly to test messaging that feeds into those channels?

Was there anything in particular that you were posting on Twitter? Were the responses written by you or an AI bot? I'm just curious as I've heard of other accounts being closed a little overzealously recently.

Also, how are you doing the A/B testing on the onboarding?

    All the best,
    Andy.

      hey Andy, good questions

honestly... no idea why X suspended me. I had the golden freaking checkmark :)

was just posting founder journey stuff, building in public content. all written by me, no bots. had like 20 followers lol, wasn't exactly spamming... just replying a lot

asked for a review, got denied, no real explanation. lost $200 in ad credits that were never even used. classic X moment

on A/B testing onboarding - keeping it scrappy for now. not running proper split tests yet... more like shipping changes, watching the numbers in PostHog, talking to users who drop off. "why didn't you create a contract?" type convos

once we have more volume we'll do proper A/B tests but at 300 users... qualitative feedback moves faster than statistical significance

      thanks for asking, appreciate it

How are the activations doing now?

Way better now since I will be more positioning towards an agentic layer that does you admin work from Whatsapp, Slack, Telegram etc
