Week 3: 18 beta users, 4.2hrs/week saved per user - Here's what I learned about freelancer pain points

Quick update on Animiso (client update tool for freelancers).

**Current numbers:**

- 18 beta users actively testing

- 4.2 hours avg saved per user/week

- 89% would recommend

- 0 "any update?" client texts since they started using it

**The backstory:**

I'm a freelance dev. Got tired of clients texting "any update?" at 11 PM even though I'd sent them updates that morning.

Realized I was spending 6+ hours/week just managing client communication overhead:

- Re-explaining status

- Re-sending files

- Digging through email threads

- Repeating myself across WhatsApp/Slack/Email

Built Animiso to fix this: Give clients one link where they see all updates. No login required for them.

**What I learned from 18 beta users:**

1. **The pain is universal** - Every single freelancer I talked to has this problem. It's not niche.

2. **Clients don't want to download another app** - The "no login required" feature is the killer differentiator. Clients click a link and see everything. That's it.

3. **Time saved compounds** - Users report 4+ hours saved per week. That's 16 hours/month. Almost $2,000 in billable time for a $50/hr freelancer.

4. **Retention is easier than acquisition** - Freelancers who use it once keep using it. The problem is painful enough that the solution is sticky.
