Week 6 and Still 0 Active Users. That's what I learned.

Week 6. 0 active users. $0 MRR.

Most founders would hide these numbers.

I'm showing them because they're about to change.

Here's what I learned losing 5 beta users:

  1. Shipping != done
I built the tool. Launched. Waited for users.
    Nobody came.
    Lesson: distribution > product

  2. AI smell kills trust instantly
Users said posts "sounded like AI"
I thought: but it IS AI?
Missed the point: it should sound like THEM
Fixed: rebuilt prompts, removed 47 AI patterns

  3. Follow-up is product
I generated posts for users then... disappeared
    They forgot about me
New rule: daily check-ins, same-day turnaround

  4. Manual beta > automation early
Doing it manually teaches me what users actually need
    Building automation blind = waste

What I'm doing differently now:

Personal service during beta
I generate posts for you (Twitter/LinkedIn/IG/Reddit)
~30 min turnaround
Free while testing
You help shape the product

Launching automated version April 15
Early users: $20/mo locked
Regular: $39/mo

Current status:

  • Rebuilt generation (no more AI smell)
  • Testing with 2 new users
  • Looking for 10 more

If you post across multiple platforms and hate
reformatting, want to try?

Beta: trytov.vercel.app

What's the worst product mistake you made early on?
