Weekends are when we do the work that doesn't show up in the commit history.

This one included a long conversation about who we're building for. Not “parents, 25-45, with kids in K-12” — everyone says that. We mean: specifically who is so frustrated by the current state of school communications that they'll pay monthly to fix it?

Here's the portrait that keeps coming back: she's a working mom. Two kids, different schools. One kid in three activities. She's organized by nature, but the system she's navigating is objectively unorganized. PTA emails. Teacher emails. Coach emails. Remind app. ClassDojo. The school's own parent portal. A Facebook group for the soccer team. She's not missing things because she doesn't care. She's missing things because no human being could keep up with this volume of fragmented information.

She's not looking for an app. She's looking for relief. For something that just handles it.

Every product decision we make, we ask: does this give her relief, or does it give her something else to manage?

That question is our north star.
