Hello my indie hackers friends. Long time no talk. My conference is few days to go and I have managed to get, Framer, Weblow, Shopify and argodesign as sponsors and I have a lineup of more than 40 speakers like the former UX VP of Design from Oracle, Head of Design from SAP, Head of Design of Visa and other cool people from all over the world from companies like Facebook, Google, Jp Morgan Chase, Boeing and others.

This is will be a 24 hours design event and I have free tickets (worth $200 each) for my IH friends. You just have to use this code on checkout: y465i0w

    Conference website: conf.wcd.school

    See you there!

    [Last Week]
I did a lot of testing of the mobile app, found lots of little bugs and things which needed to be simplified/moved around. So I did quite a lot of that kind of thing and am happy with how the mobile app is feeling right now.

On the other hand, I ran an operational cost analysis which made me sit up straight and pay attention. I need to rethink my release plans carefully.

The big news of the week is that I am first releasing the Announcr Speaker App and API separately from the Announcr Mobile App. The Speaker App/API will be usable by other companies to deliver content/notifications! Working out API pricing.

Announcr Release 1 decreased from 94% to 90% complete

    • Add an Auto-Greet limiter to prevent massive numbers of API calls when someone is driving fast
    • Added markdown support to my website and a page stub/DB driven CMS system so I could quickly write help pages. (https://announcr.io/help)[https://announcr.io/help]
    • Created a bunch of help pages with screenshots
    • Create a tutorial screen for the Trigger Screen
    • Extended AWS Polly SSML support
    • Enabled Direct-to-Speaker App capability to it can run standalone
    • Added initial support for RAPIDAPI deployment
    • Fixed device registration flow so speaker can be used with many different locations
    • Added a bunch of little API options like random voice, no intro, brief intro, allow profanity
    • Small overhaul of the Speaker App UI
    • Added Output device selection to Speaker App. (ouch this was painful)
    • Added a Test Announcement button/functionality in the mobile app

    [This Week]
Right now I have 11 items on the list for release! Some of them...

    • Ability to change Speaker App name so it shows up in searches
    • Add multiple location support to the "Events History"
    • Add repeat, warning, and silent mode in Speaker App
    • Overhaul Event list to use FB Profile pics and a detail view so I can BLOCK users
    • Add user blocking functionality
    • Finish RapidAPI calculations and setup
    • Create intro screens for Speaker App and Mobile App
      STRETCH GOAL
    • Create web page to build and send messages to Speaker App

    [Goal for Month]
Landing page and early signups for Announcr Speaker App

    [Description]
Announcr is a connected speaker and notification platform. Trigger various actions depending on user locations. Play sounds, make API calls, etc. New Landing Page

Late update, but better late than never!

    [Last Week]

Completed milestone #4. Details on the Indie Hackers milestone.

Life got in the way this week, so we didn't finish everything on the dev board. But we still got a ton done, and we're moving in the right direction every week. We're 'unstanding', and that's what counts.

    [This Week]

Starting milestone #5. Particularly excited by IMPACT, our upcoming publication. But I need to get some things done to clear the way for a focused execution.

    [This Month]

Still tracking towards B2B and direct sales. We're laying the foundations this milestone, but it will likely take an additional one to bed things in.
