Weekly growth notes is the chance to share what you've been up to recently with a focus on growing your product.
By sharing openly we can not only support each other but we also have the opportunity to learn and be inspired by each others work.
I haven't launched yet, but a few things I plan to do:
What kind of thing are you launching?
An incredibly novel idea for a... job board. :)
Just soft-launched: https://berlindesignjobs.com
After working on projects which weren't feasible with the time I have (full-time job, plus some contract work), I decided to focus on something small that I could launch in a couple weeks. The idea is to actually get something launched, gain a little experience with a live project and, hopefully, make a few sales here and there.
Creating custom pages for potential customers and cold emailing them.
Did this for about 20 customers. Only one replied saying - they were not interested :(
What product is this for?

I have set up adwords with a very limited budget to test my landing page and i was able to collect about 20 emails
I sent mails to the subscribers trying to get their feedback on the product, but none of them replied.

Yay for joining Indie Hackers!
Boo for no response on the emails. Were they personalised? Tracked? Any idea why you had no responses?
The email were personalised with their name only. I did not track them, but i should.
IMO if they didn't answer it's because they are not my potentials customers. Just users who want to try it out and who are not willing to pay for it.
That sounds a bit dangerous to assume that. What if the open rate was zero because they all went to spam? Or you sent on the wrong day/time to capture their attention. Zero responses on 100% opens is one thing. Zero responses on Zero opens is another all together. How many did you send out?
I would setup a email system that can track opens etc, review the email copy, title etc and resend.
Hey,
Since then i have started to get response.
I think i might have users who tried out our app which are not qualified. But the users who tried our app which can be qualified to be "super user" tend to answer to our mail :)
