Welcome to this new Virtual Event group! I work at Mixily.com and have a background in IRL events. I am spending my days in the world of virtual events- researching, attending, marketing Mixily, talking to event organizers. I would love to connect with others in this space and wanted to create a group for us to share resources, learnings, and support each other with potential collaborations.
It would be great to connect and meet each other! Let me know if you're interested and I'll send around a date poll so we can pick a time to meet on a video call. I can send an invite using Mixily and if you have a platform or tool you want to showcase we can test out each other's products.

Happy to join the group. I also come from background in IRL events and have unfortunately had a tough transition into virtual events. Looking to connect with other people in the space, who aren't clients, but fellow organisers.
I was suppose to do my first online event, but it got cancelled due to the sponsor withdrew. Upside is that I have playbook, downside I haven't been able to test it yet.
So hopefully 2021 will be the year to test it and further improve it.
I had a similar situation earlier this year, with a sponsor pulling out.
I just created an event with a date poll so we can all "meet" each other. Would love to learn more and help!

Definitely is tricky! What kind of events do you host? What type of brands do you look for sponsorship?

I have a background in international trade and am interested in the intersection of healthcare - events - and knowledge sharing. I would like to help event organizers to maximize their attendees interactions during virtual and in-person events.
At the moment I am writing my master's thesis and designing a software plug-in to event software for event organizers.
