Welcome, introduce yourself! (Week of Aug 9th)

Rosie here -- the Indie Hackers community manager. Welcome! 👋

This short guide is meant to help you get the most out of Indie Hackers.

First, introduce yourself!

Indie Hackers is a community of people helping each other build profitable businesses and side projects. The key word here is "community." Don't be shy!

For starters, take a second to introduce yourself and share your goals in the comments below. 👇

Just say a few words about who you are, why you're here, and what you hope to accomplish or learn in 2020.

Take a moment to say hello to someone else as well!

Dive into learning.

We've interviewed hundreds of successful indie hackers. I recommend reading a few of their stories. It's a great way to get an overview of what's possible.

@csallen also puts out podcast episodes if reading isn't your thing!

Next, get started!

There's no time like the present. Check out the "Start Here" page for a list of practical steps and articles that can help you take action.

Not only will it help you get started, but it should also introduce you to some of the best parts of the Indie Hackers community.

This is just the tip of the iceberg! If you're ever feeling lost or confused, post in the Meta group or tag me (@rosiesherry) in any comment or post.

Don't forget to introduce yourself and say hi to someone else below! 🤗

    Hi all! 👋

Developer here (mainly backend). Created a couple of side-projects which to me seemed fairly promising, and the users who have tried it seem to love it. Despite that, I'm having issues reaching out to more users, and thought this would be a neat place to find some ideas for how to do it. :-)

    1. 2

Hi Andrea. Anywhere I can take a look at your project?

      1. 1

Hi Henk! Of course! I've fiddled with writing lyrics for some time and couldn't find a really good editor I liked, so I created https://lazyjot.com. :-)

    2. 1

hey if you could tell me more about the audience and users you want to attract maybe i could help ! :)

  2. 5

Namaste! I'm Pradeep, and my day job is a UX Designer. I'm also good at front end development, content writing and currently looking to diversify my income sources. Willing to discuss, if you have a vague idea / a concept and need UX feedback you can always hit me up!!

    1. 1

      Hey Pradeep,
I would love to chat with you and get some feedback on a UX I am working on.

      1. 1

Hey sure, would love to discuss. New on this platform and don't know if there is a personal chat where we could discuss. If there is any, you can msg me there or you can mail me at [email protected] :)

      kbailas,

Looks like we’ve been looking for each other...2 successful startup exits that were both digital marketing & tech agencies - built the sales and marketing operations from the ground up from recruiting, training, messaging, target markets to the final contract signing. Could be helpful to each other, so thought I’d extend a hello your way 👋🏽

I am Samar. I created this tool https://thetaskwall.com to manage my productivity. It's a task management application with multiple integration for productivity strategies like Pomodoro, Day Blocking, Time Blocking.

    Hi 👋

My name is Tom Wilson and I am starting a new company focused on web technologies, it will be a hybrid of products and services, with a mission of developer happiness, basically finding and eliminating pain points of the software development process to empower software developers to create sustainable and maintainable products.

Some background about me, I have been in software development for over 25 years, primarily in HealthIT. In 2007, I started a company called Jack Russell Software, got acquired by another startup Carekinesis, Inc which became Tabula Rasa HealthCare, LLC (TRHC), it was a 13 year run, and a great experience, but now I am ready to start something new. https://hyper63.com.

Still finalizing what this will look like in concrete terms, but so far it will be micro-development contracts (2 - 4 weeks), course creation, live training events, open source contributions, and developer enabling products.

It is great to be able to join this community and share ideas and get straight feedback, communities like this did not exist in 2007 :). I look forward to contributing and sharing with the community as I go through this new journey. IH has already been great seeing all the great posts, podcasts and comments looking forward to participating.

    Thanks

    Tom Wilson

Dan here. I'm a frontend developer by trade. I love making things and especially making them look good.

I have been quietly watching the indie maker community grow over the last few years, and it has helped inspire me.

You see, I am about to become a Dad. I already work full-time, but it does not provide enough income, especially as my partner is about to start maternity leave.

I am just starting my journey. My initial goals are to build & launch a side project without quitting my day job. Looking ahead, I'd like to become financially free and a good role model for my kid.

    1. 2

Hi Dan, i'm a father of 2... with a full time job and a startup with team of 8... i wish you will find what you need :)

    2. 2

Congrats, man! I'm not a parent but I bet it's not an easy job. Hope you find a great side project to support you and your family.

  10. 2

Hi! I'm a Rogue developer using Ruby (on Rails), Python (for Data, like pandas, pyspark), AWS (managed/fully managed services/ec2/databases) for the last 12 years.

I have skills in data engineering also, for the last 2 years. Used to build things that hit millions of people on a ed-tech.

I like to build things end-to-end. Looking for partnerships for products, remote jobs, or learning to be a more independent builder.

    1. 1

Hey. I've got an interesting project that has the foundation already built. It is a real estate start up. My technical co founder had to leave for personal time commitment issues, so I am looking for a replacement.

    Hi All,
FullStack Developer here. I have 4+ years of experience in making backend applications. I recently ventured into the space of building new and innovative products. A small example being JSONAPI.co. I have already enlisted this in the producthunt.com. This product was recognized to the extent that it also managed to get featured in their newsletter(https://www.producthunt.com/newsletter/6133).
I am excited to be a part of this group and explore more like-minded people. Lets connect and build great products together!

  24. 1

    Hello everyone!
I am a junior software developer. A friend of mine asked me to create a tool for Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) that will notify authors once they make a new sale.
    Here is the project: https://kdpchamp.herokuapp.com/
I was wondering, how can I reach more authors in such a niche market?

    Thank you all in advance!

  28. 1

    Hey indiehackers,

I'm a machine learning engineer at a sclaeup in SF, been building all kinds of models for the past few years. Previously worked in retail (sales forecasting, supply chain optimisation) and financial services (fraud detection, anti-money laundering). Currently working with autonomous vehicles customers (2D and 3D detection/segmentation).

Looking to get involved with the indiehacker community and start my own business in the near future.

Hi all! Andrew here. I'm the founder of Reactive Streaming, (https://www.reactive-streaming.com), a platform that lets product and growth teams build the next generation of live experiences with our managed ultra low latency video and interaction services. We make it easy to add live streaming to your app.

I started (and bootstrapped!) my company 9 months ago and I'm looking for a community of other founders to grow and learn with.

  30. 1

    Hello All!

I'm a developer, mostly focus on iOS since 2009. My goal in IH is to find others looking for opportunities to build something that solves real problems, and can be monetized as well :). Areas of interest (other than mobile) are: Computer Vision/Graphics, Blockchain, Digital Entertainment, Sustainability.

A couple of years ago I challenged myself to create something by myself, from idea to MVP. The result was Trophy Hunter for Playstation, a niche application for playstation users. The feedback was been mostly positive.

Looking forward to meet some of you!.

  31. 1

Hi everyone. I'm Ibrahim, and I am a product manager with background in web development (Ruby on Rails) and UI design. I'm currently working on my first SaaS product (a tool to help sales teams to easily manage their sales quotations). At the moment I'm looking into starting a pre-launch campaign so I have an audience once the product is ready for launch. I believe I will find ideas and good advice from the community here. Thanks

  32. 1

Hi all! I'm happy to finally join Indie Hackers community. I'm Poland based backend-oriented software developer, currently working in gaming industry. I have been researching a concept of indie hacking and micro-business during last few months and currently I am working on some side project. Besides being a technical person, I'm very much interested in marketing, economy and digital product design principles. I'm hoping to soon put my skills and interests into something that will become a profitable business and will allow me to quit my day job within - let's say - a year from now :)

  33. 1

Hi all, I'm Jay. I am building a newsletter https://bluejayreview.com which shares useful tips and resources with early-stage startup founders. I am also building a stealth-mode startup in adtech/martech. I joined IH hoping to exchange ideas and learn from the gurus here. :🤗

Hello everybody! I currently work as a data scientist, but my plan is to make a slow career shift from what I do now to become a science communicator/writer. Since 2018 I have been using almost two hours a day (I also have a 9-5 day job) to make science posts on LinkedIn (one of my recent posts has until now 20k likes and 800k views! I am so happy!!) and write Medium stories about physics, math, finance, and machine learning (I've written around 40 stories since December 2018). I've read that Indie Hackers "encourages writers and entrepreneurs to document their progress" so that is why I am here :)

  38. 1

Hello every one, Christy is glad to join this great community.
I have joined to learn new ways of achieving my dreams of writing my book and also build my business empire.

  39. 1

Hi there, I'm developer (web mainly, full stack). My first goal is to build and launch a side project idea, that helps people plan their finances. It came out of frustration with "budgeting apps", the majority of which I think completely ignore forecasting and lack planning features for the future (beyond the "I'm gonna spend £50 on coffee a month" kind of thing).

There's nothing to show for just yet, only experimenting with some simple algorithms and trying to settle on a stack for a prototype. Hope to update the community as I move forward with the project. Best of luck to everyone, excited to have joined!

  40. 1

    Hi Rosie, I'm Uche.

I'm a digital marketer and copywriter

    Hi everyone 👋
I am an optometric physician by background, have worked 2 years in this sector. I have worked as an operations specialist for 5 years and also have the experience co-founding a non-profit education platform. I am currently up-skilling to become a data scientist and business entrepreneur. Looking to collaborate and co-found projects that will apply tech to healthcare, education and how we do business. I am open to working remotely.

  43. 1

    Hey peeps!

I'm a decent developer looking to grow my entrepreneurial skills. My main hustle is a product management agency (i.e. helping people build better digital products). And my side hustle is an iOS app called mofodoro which is a minimal pomodoro tracker. To be fair though, the neglect I've shown to my side hustle would put me into bad parenting territory.

Anyway, I'm here in an effort to become more open and public with my work.

p.s. If you have an idea that you want to spec out feel free to hit me up.

  44. 1

Now am starting two entrepreneurial projects completely bootstrapped. One e-commerce (non-healthcare) and the other is in the SaaS healthcare space.

Would need all the help I can get from this community since there is a steep learning curve in all aspects of these two projects!

    Hi Everyone,

You can call me XediCode, I was in a corporate job for almost 10 years as a software developer. 2 years ago I decided to be self-employed, or by your definition is an indie hacker :). It was a hard and big decision. And here we go, it almost been 2 years now.

    Nice to found this place

    Yo!

I'm an engineer at heart and was in the gaming industry for the past 15 years. I did 3 gaming startups, my first one being at 15 years old accidentally modding a game into a 30K USD MRR business. Another the got 10M downloads and was break-even biz from the basement of a sushi restaurant in Pasadena, CA. And most recently Junglee Games which just passed 160M USD ARR.

I'm taking a break from gaming and working on a developer tool called www.kintohub.com. I'm looking to learn more about how Kinto can help startups, indie hackers, and students in 2020 and I'm definitely looking forward to sharing any knowledge in my last 3 startups from data, engineering, the goods, and bads - don't be shy, happy to chat!

Legit Bank Logins Shop | Bank Logs With Email Access 2020

Buy Bank Logs with email access and cookies from legit bank logins shop.

Carders needs bank logs on a daily basis for their cashout methods. It becomes so hard to find a real plug to buy bank logs with email access from since a lot of people are only after your money. To that end, I have decided to drop this write up on how to buy legit bank logins with email access and cookies if you want to cash out big in 2020.

There are a lot of things you can do with bank logs ranging from CC top up, cashing out Zelle, ACH and a lot more. We have some cash out tutorials on deck for our customers who do not have any bank log cash out method available.

When you buy the logs from us, you can request for the accompanying method if you do not have one, but note that we may not be able to give you the method if you did not buy any log from us. A lot of people have contacted us to help them cash out logs they bought from the darkweb which is either suspended or invalid logs. In that case, we may not be able to help you; we can only help you with the logs you bought from us.

What is Bank Log and How do we get them?

Bank logs are the login information (username, email, cookies and account details) of an individual’s account. Spammers create phishing sites and send them to targets, when a target click on the link to sign in to his/her online banking platform, the login IP, username and password is captured and sent to the spammers email.

Trending Method: Cash App Sauce, Carding Method

The spammer will then decide to sell it to hackers, carders or to those that cash out bank logs or cash it out themselves.

There are several methods of cashing out bank logs which ranges from using it to top up cc, do zelle transfer, ACH and many more.

    Why do we Sell log?

A lot of people do ask us why we sell the bank logs and not cash them out ourselves, the answer is simple. We spam every day and have thousands of logs available, we cash out as we can and sell the rest before the owners detects that his/her information is captured and close the account.

With that been said, if you want to buy any bank log from us, kindly contact us and tell us the bank you want and the balance you need. If we don’t have the bank you want, you can make a pre-order or we tell you the one we have at the moment.

How to Buy Bank Logs With Email Access 2020

We do not have a site where we sell the logs, if you want to buy any log, kindly contact us on what Sapp or wickr and we will tell you what is available. We accept payment in cryptocurrency, before you contact us, do have your payment ready to avoid been ignored.

Salutations! My name is Devlin and I hail from Minnesota.

I have a passion for lean software - consistent, well-documented, resilient. I'm currently working on a modernization project at a large bank where I design, build, and test Java-/Spring-based microservices. On the side, I'm learning Flutter/Dart for mobile development. I've also built some simple apps with a Vue.js/Java/MongoDB stack.

I joined IH because I'm interested in putting myself out there, expanding my network with others in tech, and sharing my experiences with curious minds. If anyone's interested in chatting software or side projects, feel free to reach out!

    Hi everyone!

I'm Tina. I freelance as a paralegal, and I have a few side project ideas that I think can be viable in the legal industry, but each project is for a slightly different audience.

First, a couple of years ago, I published a Kindle book for new paralegals trying to find their first job in a law firm, and I'd like to update it for the COVID-19 era.

I'm also seeing an increasing number of experienced paralegals who want to start freelancing, and want to create websites, so I thought of creating a WordPress theme specifically for paralegals (I know there are thousands of themes out there for lawyers / law offices, but this is more B2B instead of lawyers trying to get clients).

I'd also like to help attorneys create systems / procedures to operate virtually and safely.

So the first thing I'm wondering is, how do I choose which project to try out first? I think I can map out ways to do all of them, just not simultaneously.

Looking forward to being a part of this group! :^)

Hey everyone, Adam here - from the Birmingham area in the UK.

I'm a software engineer in a full-time job but I have always seen myself working for myself, on my own schedule, my own projects, etc (I did freelance full-time at one point, but I mean more on a single software product level).

I have committed to spending the rest of 2020 working on the most promising software product idea that I have, in order to see if I can make it work (and profitable), thereby set my self up for an independent future in the next 3-5 years.

I am not expecting it to be easy at all, but I feel that I should just commit (pun), instead of continuing to just talk about these ideas.

Feel free to follow me on Twitter to keep up-to-date.

I am also looking to meet other like-minded creators (particularly those in the UK and any local to me) - feel free to drop me a message.

    Hi Namastey!

I'm Sampath Vinayak, a petroleum student, graduated smack dab in the middle of a pandemic! I just kicked off my Data Science learning and looking to stay inspired.

I read a lot about startups and happened upon IH when I was following startups that made it without VC funding. From the look of it, IH feels very close-knit and authentic.

    Hello guys,
I'm David and still studying CS. I am currently working on my bachelor's thesis (something about 3D printing, HCI and Touchscreens) and stumbled across IH some weeks ago. Since then I read and read tons of stuff and now I would really like to build my first MVP. I do not know if it will ever be monetized but I create it to get more into Vue and Bootstrap since I am mostly into Python. That is also why I am using Django for the backend :)

    Hi everyone 👋

I'm a front-end engineer, trying to grow my audience and build a business on the side. The goal is to (eventually) be able to quit my full-time job and live off of my own digital products. I've just launched my first paid product, a book on improving your developer skills and landing a development job. It's called "Mastering the Coding Mindset" and aims to be a guide for new developers on where to put their focus in this overwhelming space.

Happy to be a part of the community!

    1. 2

Super cool. I'm helping people on this mission as well and actually writing a manifesto on "Empowering the modern fullstack developer" right now. Would love your take on it if you'd be interested?

Hi everyone! I'm Mauricio, a software developer from Brazil and creator of Pleke https://pleke.com/ a Personal Finance Manager app for android and iphone built using flutter. This is my first endeavour on mobile apps and Pleke was built to scratch my own itch, I wasn't satisfied on how apps deal with credit card payments and purchases paid in installments.

Now comes the most difficult part, learn how to market and promote it and teach people how to use it as the onboarding process is quite complex...

  97. 1

I am going through the trials and tribulations of entrepreneurship. I have been developing virtual world platforms and products. Started as an academic, won the typical stuff... research grants/accolades, published the kind of papers that were expected. Escaped the echo chamber because I wanted to be true to my original goals: Make things that people will use and be delighted with. Money has never been a priority for me, the delight in user eyes has always been something that I have sought. I will keep trying, but it is hard when my current ecosystem think my values are abnormal. Relationships with closed ones are not great because of that. So looking to see if I am really that out of touch.

    1. 2

This is really hard - but very normal. Entrepreneurship in many communities is really the black sheep. Glad to see this community born and hopefully both of us can find more black sheep to go through the madness together!

      1. 1

        Thanks for the kind words.

    Hi everyone!

I'm Emmanuel, French UI/UX Designer based in Chiang Mai Thailand since few years. I've moved there when i started my journey as a digital nomad, and finally decided to completely expat myself in this great city :) I've worked in communication agencies in the past and as freelance designer for few years. Since the beginning of 2020 I've started to work on a startup project with some friends, and of course encountered all the major classic issues that you could expect. I'm an active reader on Indie Hackers since a year already and finally decided to sign up to start being active and exchange with the community ;) We are using a lean approach in our project so I'm not only focusing on the design anymore but mostly on the communication in a more general way (content writing, sales speech, business orientation, etc.) and I'm kind of struggling a bit with this part.

Would love to exchange about these subjects with you :)

    1. 1

Happy to brainstorm with you. I am been building fintech products.

Hello, I'm Hennos, Civil engineer and passionate about automating processes and making life easier

  113. 1

Hi 👋 I'm Tadhg, I'm a product manager and recovering startup founder. Getting the entrepreneurial itch again lately so I've decided to launch a side project. My goal for 2020 is simple, to earn at least €1 from a side project this year.

With that in mind, I've decided to launch The Startup Negotiator (https://startupnegotiator.com/).

The goal of the project is to help startups and indiehackers to save $$$ on their software bills by negotiating on their behalf. But, I'll wait until 1000 startups sign up and then focus my negotiating efforts firstly with the most commonly used software tools amongst the group. This should result in even bigger savings.

I've had this idea for ages but never got around to launching it. I'd really appreciate any feedback anyone has. And, if you're looking to save some money on your SaaS bills, why not sign up? :)

  114. 1

Ryan here! I'm Product Manger hoping to turn entrepreneur. I have a couple projects I have been working on for fun and to learn, and am thinking it would be fun to try my hand at going all in on starting my own company. Hi there, I'm Thomas! I grew up in Austria, studied acting in LA during the summer of 2010, and decided I have to come back. Being a high school dropout made the journey even more challenging and exciting. In 2013 I made it and learned a lot about personal growth in the process. Since then, I've become a certified life coach and am now on a mission to bring the secret to living a successful life to the masses. The idea of an artificial life coach app was born. - I'm excited to get to know you all.

Hi, I'm a geologist by training and experience. I'm creating a startup to help accelerate the CO2 sequestration sector. 3D models of the subsurface show how much CO2 can be injected and safely stored underground. Am looking for a co-founder (or ad hoc help) to handle the web/software development part. Hoping to learn how to approach creating an effective plan for this and next year to get this project going...:)

  118. 1

Hey IndieHackers! Happy to be here. :)
I'm a UI/UX human. I am a cofounder of a new startup, after mentoring and freelancing for 10 years. New territory! Happy to learn and give back to the community.

    Hi folks,

I'm a data analyst with web development background. Graduated 1.5 years ago, still at the beginning of my career and I'd love to create some side income to support me and my spouse. I'm an idea machine but when it comes to building the product, I always quit the halfway.

I'm hoping with this community, I'll be able to finish at least one of my ideas. Thank you for reading this and cheers from Canada!

Hey gang. I'm an AMP WordPress web developer front-end and back-end. I build 100% AMP valid WordPress themes/websites from scratch.
I'm creating a side-stream where I intend to provide free static AMP Templates to other developers interested in moving into the AMP arena, and I'm also looking to povit the WP themes I've built for clients into resellable Templates.
I'm looking for help in this area specifically. I've never learned how to make a WP Theme into a marketable template, so anyone here who has experience in this specifically, I'd love to pick your brain.
Thank you! and Nice to Finally have Found This Place!!!

  122. 1

    Hey all,
I am a backend developer mostly building enterprise software products for 10+ years. I always loved to play games and had a dream of building games. So finally I decided to build games in my spare time. I developed a game recently and launched it on the Play store but as with most of the indie developers, failed to market it properly and could not gather any players for my game! So after researching how to market your game and which channels to use while developing games, I landed here on Indie hackers! Hoping to learn lots of things from here :)

Here is my game link and would be very happy to hear the feedback about it - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameniq.cattytrails

  124. 1

Hello, I'm interested in building a side-hustle alongside my day job to get some extra income and possibly, longer term, leave the 9-5 behind. I love ideas and have spent a lot of time procrastinating but never started anything serious. I often fall down at the first hurdle and move onto a new shiny thing so really looking for a little help sticking to things and getting motivated.

  125. 1

Hi everyone! I'm Pedro Fernandes, I work as a full-time Software Engineer in Berlin. I have been thinking about how can I use my tech skills to change people's life by creating awesome productions since I started my career 11 years ago.
I've already launched a SaaS startup in Brazil 6 years ago which started as a side-project and now it's time to do it again. I hope to find some great ideas and join with some other indie hackers to build really useful and profitable things.

I truly believe that the future is the data, I have been studying IA and planning to start a master degree also next year to obtain more knowledge in this field.

    Hi All 👋

I'm a fullstack web developer willing to work on a side project and generate a passive income. My motivation : spend more time with my future family and avoid depending solely on my job :). I currently have several ideas in mind and I'll be starting validations phase after I'm done with a project I'm currently coding to plan tennis tournaments with my family and friends during summer holidays.

    All the best :)

    Hi IH,

I'm a professional Venture Builder working for a startup studio, looking to launch more personal projects and share my experiences (mostly no-code) validating and launching ventures with the community. I recently launched a substack focused about validation on https://venturism.substack.com for those interested. Always open to help others out validating their ideas!

  131. 1

Hi Indie Hackers! Excited to be a part of the comminity. I recently started as VP of Sales and Marketing for www.Unstack.com a no-code CMS and Marketing Platform.

It's an amazing tool with everything you need to launch , iterate, and grow your digital business from $0 to millions in revenue using just 1 platform as your marketing hub (we have had multiple Apps and SaaS platforms do this in just the last 8 months selling the product).

I am looking forward to learning more from the community!

    1. 1

I was just working on a tagline for my biz "Don't sacrifice your app stack", but I think unstack is 10 steps ahead in simply unstacking :-p

  134. 1

    Hi there!

Nice to meet all of you! I'm a designer from Cracow, PL. After 4 years of working for a few early-stage startups in Poland and the US I've decided to go solo and create my own design business targeting SaaS startups. As I grow the agency I'm hoping to launch a few products that will make it easy for tech founders to have a world-class UI on day 1 without hiring a designer or having any design experience. I'm looking to expand my network, find potential clients, and learn more about creating digital products.

  135. 1

    Hi all! 🤗
I'm a Japanese developer. I'd like to publish my side project and get feedback. Thanks!!

Hello! My name is Laimonas. I am a software engineer with 15+ years of experience, mostly backend systems but have been branching out into frontend for the last 2 years.

I've been on a mission of sorts to diversify my income and generate enough where I can quit my day job. I have been thinking/working on it for over a year with something to show but not anywhere close to being able to quit and move on my own.

Here is where I am at:

The overarching goal is to quit the day job and work on replacing the income I receive today with an income that I generate from somewhere else. I am a software engineer and LOVE programming. I have been at my current company for a long time (10+ years) and over the last 2-3 years, things have changed to the point where I am looking for something else.

What I have done so far to make this a reality:

    • Almost exactly a year ago, July 2019, decided to learn about stock trading and see if that could be my side income. Survived a full year with COVID drop craziness, and rise craziness. During the year I made enough money to cover 19% of my annual job income without risking a house. Thankful to survive with a profit, but staying realistic that one year does not mean much. Let's assume I am able to sustain such gains, it's still not even 50% of what the day job offers...

    • While educating myself on trading, launched a site that I use to journal my moves: nightingaletrading.com. It's been a lot of work but a great experience. I think my thought was to get people to sign up and use it and charge for its features. I have had 45 user signs up, 3 of them are active. I sense that I will have a hard time standing out from the other sites as they super feature-rich and journaling activity, what I focus on in the site, can be done in Excel/paper. At most I save people time.

Even though I am not getting much traction, I do not regret launching the site and I am treating it as a real product. It made me get a feel of what it looks like to write up docs, reaching out to users, doing some promotion for it (indirectly through this post describing parts of my earnings https://www.reddit.com/r/options/comments/hoongx/results_of_options_experiment/, and mentioning my site in comments of various Reddit sections).

It helps me in my trading too, that's my main portal for reviewing my moves, so who knows, maybe I can continue to grow it and something will come from it.

    • Still looking if I can generate some other income and continue to replace the day job's income as much as possible. I have been scanning for consulting stories/projects where I can do a project on my own, offer a service. So far have not thought of anything promising or an end goal in this area that I can work towards.

Last week I have been a bit down, having this realization how hard this is :) I stumbled into this group, and curious to see what it is all about. I've heard of it before but haven't joined or read any of the posts, so should be interesting.

Now with Indiehackers, I feel that you don't need to be a coder to make something amazing;). Pretty new to this world, so if someone wants to chat about it, let me know!

    Hi everyone

I am a developer specialised in ERP Software, and have been dabbling in some web development to broaden my horizons as well as to build some side projects that I have wanted to for a while. Currently making good progress with the one and hoping to have it up and running by the end of the year!

Hi fellow hackers! I'm a Growth hacker from India. Looking to start my side biz in the tele health space. I've been a coder before, but decided it wasn't my thing.

    Hey y’all 👋

I’ve been lurking around these parts on and off for about a year after a developer friend recommended me this community.

I’m an all-round dev (c#/js) and have had about 4 success projects so far (out of maybe 60) and I’m hoping to move into a more fruitful environment. I’ve so far had some great insight from top IH posts that I hope to apply to future projects.

    Hi indie hackers,

I'm Sam, founder and CEO of a tech startup that I launched in January. I'm a web developer (full stack) and mobile app developer. I am looking for feedback and lessons from other indie hackers as I am a new founder. I have published two Android apps on Play Store this year and working on a third. Pleasure to be here.

  151. 1

Hi all, I'm looking forward to digging into more posts and reading about your projects. I came to IndieHackers after listening to the podcast and getting hooked. I currently work as a freelance content marketing writer and have been writing about consumer lending and personal finance for nearly a decade. However, I've become increasingly interested in UX, illustration, multimedia storytelling and design and have been craving more creativity and passion in my work life (and am also burned out on writing all day, every day). I'm particularly eager to diversify my revenue stream with non-writing-related projects (or, more accurately, I want to pay others to help me write and create useful content) and so those are the types of projects I'm focusing on right now. In addition, I'm a mom with ADHD and am married to an ex-astrophysicist-turned-data-scientist and so am very interested in neurodiversity, mid-life career changes (particularly from academia to industry), data analysis, sustainable living and family-life, social enterprise and researching tools and resources for independent writers, researchers, designers, creators and crafters. I'm currently working on a couple of side projects, including an e-commerce project that will target a niche audience and heavily depend on content marketing and nice-to-look-at design and am looking forward to sharing more about this down the line. It's been challenging so far to balance all of this with family life (particularly during a pandemic) and my full-time "day job" as a freelance writer––particularly since all I want to do is work on my side projects. But it's also really fun and exciting. :) Happy to be here. -Kelly

    Hi all -

Just left a startup I co-founded, and am now looking to see what's next. I've got a few indie projects I'm hacking on, one of which I hope to share here in a few weeks. In general, my experience lies somewhere in the center of a Venn diagram of product/eng/ops, feel free to hit me up with any questions.

Hello, we are building a community for brands online

  161. 1

    Hi everyone!

Recently I've started work with a team, developing a startup. Would like to share it here, your thoughts on it are welcome)

The idea of a startup to develop an easy, reliable, and smart supplier discovery platform that enables intelligent sourcing of industrial components.

I'm responsible for SEO for the platform. The industry of a startup is completely new for me, lots of new complicated, tech-related information; as well as the character of the platform - it has features of the listing platform or a directory, search platform, networking platform.

Hope I'll get some ideas here as well)

  162. 1

    Hi friends!

I'm Pablo. I'm a mostly-backend developer who's hoping to get a few projects off the ground. I feel like I've hit a bit of a wall on UX skill and it still feels a little incomplete. Also hoping to meet other folks who are in this space.

Hey! What are you working on?

A gift project you can make for others, I might make a post on one of the proper boards about it 😄

Hi. I'm Henk. Two months ago I published my first React Native Starter Kit. For those interested, you can check out my project by following this link. And feel free to leave feedback.

In the past 6 weeks I made two sales, which is less than I hoped for. That's why I joined IndieHackers, in the hope to pick up ideas and suggestions to help drive more visitors to my landing page and ultimately generate more sales.

If you're into React Native or app development, I'd be happy to check out your project and offer some feedback!

    Hey IndieHackers 👋

I've decided to turn my personal work back toward building software products. For the last several years, with engineering becoming my profession, I've put my time toward writing (Weekend Unwind Newsletter - https://blog.coreygarvey.com/) and podcasting ([Settled Afar Podcast|http://podcast.coreygarvey.com/]), and lately I've felt a real longing for getting back to building.

I'm about to become a father, and it's clear that I can't divide my time a million different ways. It definitely has me a bit nervous about whether I'll continue to have time to be Indie Hacking, especially on so many different things.

The rest of this year is about slow progress toward a single direction, building software products that bring value to users.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Get in touch if you want to chat. I will be posting my regular progress on here (and possibly my blog as well). Looking forward to an amazing next few months!

    Corey

In my indie dev dept, I've developed a Kanban for Windows, wi-fi sync with the Android reader. The sw works like a charm, and I see room for that offline thing, but cannot reach the market. Now, if you excuse me, I'm busy sobbing on that.

    Hi everyone!

I'm Mehdi and I am a startup/venture analyst. I originally have a tech background and then switched to innovation. However, I feel that this "definition" does not cover all of what I consider as "myself" and this is the second reason why I'm here: to get inspired. The first reason being that I've always dreamt about financial independence but did nothing to achieve it. I always felt that I needed a community to learn from and today I discovered IH, and it feels like a jackpot.
Happy to be here and looking forward to it :)

Co-founder of 2 startups looking for hitting the unicorn one :D, I am a very optimistic and persistent person. I have a very strong business background but recently I have become more technical as I did not want to depend on a developer to bring my ideas alive. I am looking for like-minded individuals and mostly for people not focused on instant gratification formulas. This journey is long term and should be fun but with a lot of hard work. If you are serious about becoming an entrepreneur and you are looking for a Co-founder for your startup or you just want to join an advanced startup idea, send me an email: [email protected] or feel free to contact me directly on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yuribucio/

At the moment I am working on 2 startup ideas and I will go through the one where I find the right people. Find us, reach me out! If your background is technical we might have better fit as I am quite business/sales-minded and I would appreciate a complementary partner. But please introduce yourself with a long text, I would not answer you if you don´t want to make effort of properly introducing yourself.
    Chers,

    Hola!
I'm Freddy, a student and developer from Mexico. I've been on IH before, mostly as a reader, but now I'm here to be part of the community. I'm studying Industrial Engineering but I'm also looking to create a career in tech and probably I'll be doing some little side-experiments. Feel free to hit me up and connect, I'd be happy to meet new people! :)

    Hi everyone;

I'm currently looking to explore social media as a way to find people who will be interested in my art. I mostly do digital art that combines photography, paint, and a good deal of photoshop. I have a feeling that this is going to be my best bet at both making money and being happy.

My biggest problem is finding people who would be interested in my work mostly because people are hard. I photograph not-people for a reason.

Hello, Indie Hackers 👋 My name is Eddy and I'm from Vancouver, BC. I'm without a job right now and using the time to sharpen my software development skills and make web applications (most recently an expense tracking app, TendieTracker.com). Hoping to meet other developers / hackers and figure out how we can generate exciting ideas to solve problems for people.

Hello everyone! I'm trying to get some ideas out of the paper ... I'm a doctor and I've worked with developers. Currently I try to understand programming without code for business niches. So I believe that participating in this community will be the beginning of a journey.

    Hey everyone!

I'm Nathan. I run a small productized service buisness (MosaicMath.com -- Math tutoring!) and my dream is to just continue making businesses like this!

To that end, I am starting to learn how to code. Right now, that means fixing up some automation with buisness things for MosaicMath. In the future, I'm looking forward to making software businesses.

Happy and inspired to be here.
