Hi IH community! I am Mark, 34 from Dublin Ireland but living in Houston TX. I have been a Software Engineer for a long time and work for a medium sized Saas but have always wanted to start my own business and feel that now is the right time for me to dive in head first.

I have been working on a POC for a Saas product in the Devops space since March but progress has been slow going due to being a single dad and not having a lot of free time after my 9 to 5. To fix that I have managed to negotiate my 9 to 5 down to 3 days a week so that I have an extra 2 days a week to focus completely on getting something launched and winning that first customer somehow.

I have been a long time listener to the IH podcast and have signed up here to lay out my goals, stay accountable and make the most of this opportunity so that I can hopefully see it blossom into something that can support me full time and grow from there.

Goal #1 for the year is accomplished -- build a fully-functional web app. It's called RankedVote (https://www.rankedvote.co). It makes it drop-dead simple to create and manage ranked-choice voting polls.
