Welcome to Indie Hackers! (Week of Jul 4th)

Channing here from Indie Hackers. Welcome! 👋

Here's how to get the most out your time here.

Make the community a better place

Indie Hackers is for connecting with like-minded people who want to build profitable online businesses.

To get the most out of the community, try helping to make it a better place. You can do that by starting and participating in interesting discussions.

If you start by giving, the community is designed to reward you in return.

How to start discussions

Head over to the home page and click the "New Post" button.

If there's something on your mind that you think will get people talking, simply type it out. The shorter the better. It helps if you ask a clear question in the title, or if you express your opinion.

Alternatively, if you read something elsewhere on the internet, you can start a discussion around that, too. Try submitting it as a link post. Indie hackers love discovering interesting new articles.

Good luck!

This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you need help submitting your first link post or starting your first discussion, let me know in the comments below.

Otherwise, I'm excited to see you the forum! Feel free to introduce yourself to everyone below. 🤗

Hey all - I came here after reading Nick Costelloe's ProductHunt launch guide and I'm excited to have found the community. I'm working on a travel cost calculator and trying to be deliberate about going through the right steps in order to eventually monetize. Looking forward to soliciting feeback from folks and hopefully working with this community to make it succesful!

Hi! Thank for all. The page is amazing. I am from spain. I’m so stressed out that my depression and anxiety multiplied tenfold. I can be as involved in your project as you need me to be; from the seed of the idea, to sketches, creative direction, design, copywriting, system design, and even the front-end and WordPress build.

Months ago when I sought to clean up my credit, I contacted Jerry Link Credit Group after my niece recommended their services, I had lots of negative items, (Inquiries, Late payments, Collections, Judgments, and credit card debts) and my score was 511,512 and 516 respectively. I explained everything to them, they promised to help me and they did. It took them less than 9days to clean every negative item and raised my score to 791,793 and 797 respectively and also added some positive trade lines. Contact them via +1 916 888 4118 or text [email protected].

Hey Everyone, My name is Rob. I'm previously an actor in theatre, not the hottest job market at the moment so for the last 8 months I've been leaning to code and am currently mid way through a bootcamp in London. I've created successful shopify businesses in the past and now hoping to get a product I have in the works up and running here. Cheers!

My husband and I are self-employed architects; we made most of our income from buying, renovating and selling houses in Florida. In 2005 we had our first child, followed immediately by Hurricane Wilma and the beginning of the downturn in the real estate market (at least in Miami). Lost income from clients who could no longer pay, plummeting real-estate values and a non-existant job market for architects left us with virtually no income for four years. We used our credit cards and savings, my 401k, sold our home at a huge loss, all with the idea that the market had to pick up soon and we would then be able to pay off our debts without filing for bankruptcy. We were terrified of bankruptcy because we depended on being able to get a mortgage to finance home purchases and renovations, our main source of income. In retrospect not filing was a mistake, the market never recovered in time for us and we accumulated a massive amount of credit card debt which we could not pay, somewhere around $50-60,000. Much of this has been charged off or we negotiated settlements; however we have two judgements, Amex for $1136 and Chase for $8566, which I’m going to try and settle, and a Citibank account that was bought by Asset Acceptance, original balance of $16,166 now pumped up to $26,340. I read about XAP Credit Solution on Reddit and I didn’t hesitate to contact him, to my greatest surprise, all the debts were cleared completely including the charge offs and credit card debts. More so my our credit score were increased to 790 and 780 respectively. All thanks to [email protected] the savior I met few months ago. You can also reach him via +1 972-597-9704. Cheers !

Hi all, my name is Osman I'm a newcomer to the indie hacker life. Previously, I've built and scaled several ecommerce stores using Shopify and WordPress, with very few code edits. My goal is to transform the tax resolution industry to better serve the consumer. I'm here to learn and share any insights that I can offer. Best of luck everyone!

Hi, David here. We just launched SettleShark a couple weeks ago. I was referred to this space by a good friend now (and former student). We're just a couple guys trying to help consumers settle disputes (< $,5000) with companies that are behaving badly. I used the techniques embedded in our software successfully many times (I have a law degree) and wanted to offer that to everyone at a low price, hence the startup. I look forward to participating and learning.

Hi my name is Willie Ralph. My credit was deeply in mess, I saw a few people praising rootkits credit specialist. So, I got in touch with him and he hint me up with some few details, and increased my credit score to 813 within 18days. I have some mortgage payments, medical bills, credit card debt of $16,000 and some inquiries which were wiped off. I recommend him as the best credit professional. Hello Everyone, I'm Arslan, I was an occasional visitor of this community and am excited to be a part of it to contribute now!

I've recently founded Workpark.io, a Business management system for SMEs. Currently in a soft-launch period with full throttle on marketing efforts.

I've been coding for about 17 years now and a science geek, launched multiple projects with mixed results previously. Besides, I'm also an experienced marketer (headed the marketing/technology department at my last position) and have my own marketing & advertising agency.
