I heard about IH on a Start Ups for the Rest of Us podcast with Courtland. I think this is what I've been looking for for a while.

Glad to join IH after lurking for a few months. I currently do product strategy, but have held roles in the past as a mobile developer, head of marketing, and CEO at various points of my career.

In 2014, I cofounded and lead a venture-backed location analytics startup. We did the whole accelerator, multiple rounds of financing, office in SV thing until we exited in 2017. After going through that I really understood the importance of creating a sustainable business and maintaining optionality on the strategic level.

Started tooling around with a few ideas recently, with varying degrees of success, and eventually was lead here to IH. Glad to find a community of folks doing the same thing, and I look forward to contributing to the discussions here.

Hi! I am here looking for community support (or anyone that would like to join me in my endeavor).

I'm working on launching a mental health venture that's not been done quite the way that I have devised it. It's a different twist on self-care peer support for mental and social health that I specifically designed to benefit everyone - even those in the underserved groups of society:

• Rural, Small, & Mid-Sized Communities
• People of Color
• LGBTQA+
• Impoverished
• Other Minorities

It will operate on a "Freemium" subscription and it is essential an app platform, but it's operations are different than usual (and I know I've researched this to death and consulted with various individuals in the industry). I know a little coding and digital design, but not at all what you would call "experienced".

Thus far, I have a non-tech co-founder on board with me and we are very excited to get started on it. As lifetime individuals of the "underserved groups" and with our own personal experiences, we have unique perspectives and insights about the challenges these communities face - particularly in mental and social health.

We're in the process of getting pre-seed funding, but we need to start looking for individuals who are willing to join us in this startup.

The project is both human-centric and tech-centric. Most importantly, it's very global-centric - meaning we want to work with individuals from around the globe right out the gate for several reasons. First and foremost, the very operations of the platform will perform must better for the users if we are able to market it in both the US and UK simultaneously (a little more expensive than your average MVP but it needs to be done).

Secondly, one of the core ethos of our business is inclusivity and crossing boundaries and barriers. Thirdly, our target consumers are on a global scale. And to best serve our consumers and help make sure their needs are met, we need to be able to collaborate with individuals from different parts of the world with their unique perspectives and insights.

On the business side of things, we are approaching things a bit differently. We are going to put heavy focus on the MVB(Brand) and marketing while the MVP is being built. It's the best plan for quickly acquiring our user base (which will be essential for the platform).

There's obviously much more details about this project, but there's a glimpse into what is in the works. Anyway, I hope this is of interest to anyone!
