Went from 0 to 1k+ users in 7 days
I built Copyist an ai content writer for android powered by GPT-3 which crossed 1k+ users in just 7 days. This is what I did to market it
- Made a post on indie hackers and hacker news.
- Made several posts on reddit while following the subReddit rules.
- Ran Google ads campaign to get 100 users fast after that I stopped the campaign.
- Posted reels about my apps daily on twitter and instagram.
After that my app gained enough momentum that I was getting around 100+ installs daily from play store and other social media channels. Now I am around 1300 users and It's momentum has not yet withered.

I've always found Reddit to be the best way to get the word out for my apps, but I feel like it's hard to get continued exposure without feeling like you're spamming the same subreddits. Any thoughts around this? What is the right etiquette around posting multiple times?

Congrats !! Is the number of followers on Instagram important for Reels? And why did you not choose TikTok for example ?
Yes number of followers matters a lot. Tiktok is banned in my country
What was the cost per click and cost per download from Google ads?
And did you post on social media from your own accounts or did you create separate accounts for the app.

Cost varies depending on the countries. If you want to focus on more install you can promote in cheaper countries if you need more purchases go with high cpc countries.
I created separate accounts. On reddit I used my main account.

You have to follow the reddit rules and make sure that your posts seem helpful otherwise most of the reddit users will just downvote and it won't get enough views.

I used Flutter to build it.
For specific cases this is better than the free version of chatgpt.
It took around 1 week to build and I am the only person working on it.
It has a single lifetime plan which is bringing good enough profit.

It is got 100s of views which is not that good but It bought me a few paying customers so I will continue doing it for atleast 4-6 months.
