We're building a virtual meetup app. Today we released Open Beta.

Hey Indie Hackers!

My name is Brodey! I've been lurking on IH for a while now but I've yet to post something.

A little about me... I'm a full stack developer and entrepreneur that specializes in helping startups build scalable solutions... mainly within the cloud.

Since April 2020, we (myself along with 2 other cofounders) have been working on Venu.

Long story short... we're building a virtual meetup / event platform that aims to bridge the gap between in-person and online.

We would love to have some more beta testers in our arsenal!

Hey @bitpile - I write and cover virtual event/ community tools on behalf of Virtual Mojito. Your product is interesting. Let's start a conversation on Twitter :) Find me!

    Hi @bitpile,

I am a fan of your landing page for venu.tv.

I especially like your focus on discoverability.

@bitpile, it seems like you are looking to attract beta users who would want to launch their own live streams.

    I can help you.

I created a product, SplashPad, that helps you write emails to attract beta users. The product provides pre-written messages for you to email to your users (or post on Indie Hackers). Those messages use writing techniques that have been proven to get responses in top-performing user outreach campaign. SplashPad also helps you customize the message by intelligently recommending sentences that have gotten responses from users.

Actually, SplashPad helps with more than acquiring beta users -- also announcing a new product, welcoming new users, responding to the pandemic -- and more.

@bitpile, I would love to hear your thoughts: https://getsplashpad.com.

Do you think this sounds totally off-target?

    Keep up the great work,
    Ryan

P.S. I wrote this post with the help of SplashPad -- so you can get a sense of what the result looks like.
