We're launching an internal app we made!
We send files to clients all the time to get approved. At least in the work we do, we need them to approve files before we can move forward with their projects. We also like to send them the final deliverables for approval. We know there were lots of "file approval" apps out there, but 100% of them required the recipient to put in their email address to review the file, make comments, approve it, etc. But, in our line of work, some clients forward the work to others (like an agency forwarding a file to a celebrity), where the reviewer does not want to put in their email address. When we tried the other alternatives, there was also a learning curve and the client just ended up emailing us their feedback, because they could not figure out how to use it.
We couldn't find a solution, so we just made an internal tool for this! But, once we started using this tool and our recipients would see the tool in action, they wanted to know what it was and how they could try it out. We told them that it was an internal tool that we used and they told us if we ever made it public to let them know!
So, we decided to start working on it a little more, polishing it up for the public, and launching it as invite-only for now, until we get some more feedback.
It's called FileApproved and if you can use Facebook, you can use this. There isn't any learning curve on the user side or the client side, since there are only basic features.
Right now, we are gathering feedback on the app before we officially lunch it and start charging, so if you'd like to try it out and send some feedback, check it out and send us your name and email in the form at the bottom of the website.
