Excited to announce our first Product Hunt launch ever! 🎉

ExplodingCommunities is a database we originally built for ourselves as we needed it for CommunityValidated.

But we thought it would be great to empower other entrepreneurs and makers to discover exploding communities, so we decided to publish it!

So, what is ExplodingCommunities about?

It's a database with the fastest-growing communities on Reddit. Those are communities with at least ~50k members and that have grown >40% in the last 6 months.

Why does it matter?

For an entrepreneur or maker to build a profitable business within a community, the community needs to have a critical number of members to sustain that business (~50k). And if the community is currently growing like crazy (≥40% in the last 6mo), that's a strong signal that there's a lot of opportunity for growth.

Finding these kinds of communities with existing tools takes a lot of time and manual labor. That's why we decided to build our own solution to automate this task.

What's included?

An unfiltered database with 600+ of the internet's fastest-growing communities, a curated database with 60 communities perfectly suited for entrepreneurs and makers, and a free sample with 10 communities for you to check out whether this is helpful to you.

For now, we cover only Reddit, but we will add more platforms in later versions.
