Another quick update on Payhere that I wanted to share with this community first. We've just made a decision that goes against typical SaaS wisdom - we're reducing our transaction fee from 2% to just 1%.
A few reasons:
After reacquiring Payhere last year, we've had time to analyze our operating costs. Turns out the platform is incredibly efficient to run (we spend just 30-60 minutes a week on support).
We believe this positions us as the most affordable no-code payment solution for creators, small businesses, and indie makers. At just 1% on top of Stripe's processing fees, we're now significantly cheaper than alternatives while maintaining all the simplicity.
We're betting on volume. With over $25M processed and thousands of merchants across 100+ countries, we're hoping this price drop encourages more transactions and brings new users to the platform.
Our dead-simple UX that lets anyone create payment links in seconds
Powerful features like subscriptions, payment plans, and donation options
No monthly fees (we only make money when you make money)
The same reliable infrastructure processing millions in payments
We're doubling down on supporting specific niches where Payhere's simplicity really shines - freelancers, small agencies, event organizers, course creators, and others who need simple payment solutions without the technical overhead.
If you're looking for an easy way to accept payments online without the usual platform fees, now might be a great time to give Payhere a look (or another look if you've tried us before).
Curious to hear from other founders - have you ever successfully dropped prices? Did it drive the growth you were hoping for?
