Ok - all of this Notion talk; finally took and a look and it's not too shabby! Definitely better than Basecamp.

Yeah, it's a great tool. Price vs performance vise definitely recommend it. I love that I can switch from mac to Ipad for illustration work. Do you also use it for UI design?
Yeah exactly, I dumped the Adobe tools as soon as it released and haven't looked back. I even like how they handle a lot of the things better than Illustrator.
No I don't use it for UI design, I use sketch for that, I use it for all other vector stuff.

Cool project. How does your product compare? I wouldn't switch from Netlify or Vercel (Zeit), I have around 10 sites between the two services and I'm paying nothing.

I think the simplicity has definitely been a key USP right now. The few customers we have just wanted a very simple solution. One customer also wanted to upload a very large website. The product is mainly being used for developers to quickly share their web project for feedback and demo purposes. We'll be developing more tools to assist with that soon.
Mostly landing pages (majority of them are built with gatsby) and react apps. Yeah that makes sense. If I were less technical I would definitely find value in something "similar", but even more basic like what you've created.

How is Roam better for you that e.g. Notion? I've been hearing tons of good stuff about it lately and can't really understand it.
Notion relies on users having good mental models for how to organise their information, and the outcomes are inherently hierarchical - Roam is more free flowing, lets you just make links tangentially and bi-directionally to build up a network of information/thought. From what I observe, people that get into the swing of Roam Research definitely like to use it for personally organisation too which surprised me.
Both have a place, but should be seen as different product space imho, even though they're pitted against one another. I sometimes wonder if Roam is like Snapchat, i.e. it offers a big innovation, but Facebook just took the core idea and made it a feature of their products. Will Notion try and make a type of page, or functionality, that essentially is like a place for networked linking of pages?
I started checking Roam... It's interesting, but hard to grasp at first... It feels like you really have to be systematic in what your write, or at least how often you do it. Most of my notes are taken by hand, and typing them down doesn't suit me yet...

It won't be free for long I'm sure...but it's been getting chipped away at for years before it's current cult status, momentum has built now and it's seemingly unstoppable.
I just looked Roam up and it looked really cool, but then I saw another comment that says it's eventually going to be $30 a month, which makes me sad.

Like @blunicorn mentioned in his reply. To add to his reply, it's also how brains work, at least mine does. It's easier for me to keep track of everything and feel safe knowing it's never lost.

A lot of peoples love Slack, I can see also in this comments, but I can not unterstand why? I try to use and integrate it in my workflow, but I am not really enthusiastic. Can you please explain what exactly are so special in Slack?
