What ad network do you use (or how do you monetize your website traffic)?
I'm running ListenNotes.com (~80% visitors from english speaking countries), which has 1.6M pageviews/month right now. I'm thinking how to better monetize the traffic.
Currently, I've got a direct sales ad (sold a small portion of impressions) and I'm using Carbon Ads for fallback ads. Direct sales needs a lot of my time, while Carbon Ads CPM is quite low ($1.3).
I'm curious what ad network do you use for your website. Ideally CPM could be higher than $2 and ad format should not be too intrusive.

With that traffic, you can apply for almost any ad network you like, but well there is some highly reputable network out there that doesn't show disgusting ad.
You can start off with Mediavine, and they are famous for high CPM. The review process is pretty legit, as they will let the advertiser decide if the site is worth the bidding, but I think it will be a breeze with your site content.
Another good network is Ezoic, their requirement is lower than Mediavine, but they have several programs for a site that has high-quality traffic. The only downside is they will probably want you to change the name server (If your site is not on WordPress) for integration - which may be a no-no for a site owner who builds the website from scratch.
Finally, the one that starts it all - GG AdSense, earning is peanuts compared to the above networks, but well it's legit ad and is a quick way to have some extra cash for hosting.
The ad networks is oversaturated at the moment, so with a good website, it's your choice to decide what is worth showing.
