    Hey Dan,

I'm an admirerer of your marketing method. I'm sure that syften.com, a tool I'm working on will help with that method. You'll get replies to all your comments across the different communities in one place. I've seen how you hustle, I think it will ease up your workload.

If you find the app interesting it would mean a lot to me if I could watch your first impressions via screen sharing. In any case, I'd love to just chat with you if you have half an hour to spare.

    1. 3

Haha thanks for the words around me hustling! Always trying lol

Oh nice this is a pretty cool tool - like Mention but a lot more affordable. Or Google alerts but not just for search. You've peaked my interest :) - Will give Syften a go!

So yes, happy to do a screen sharing! Sometime later next week works for me.

Send me an email to: [email protected]

    2. 2

Hi, I currently use Mention.com on their free version for our game. Syften also looks great so I'll give that a try too : )

  2. 4

hemingway - For writing blog posts.
Canva - For social media posts

    1. 3

      Hey Ido,

You might like https://targetaudience.app as well, it takes a look of the sentiment of your text :)

      1. 2

        Hi Sjors,
Thank you, I LOVE the idea, similar to hemingway but solving a different problem.
I just tried it and got a valuable feedback on my website title.

      2. 1

Your app looks cool @MrAtiebatie - How does it work? Is it software or yourself doing it? I'm keen to test our for Cenario :)

        1. 2

It's software. Right now I'm slowly adding more features to the editor. I've been thinking to offer my own services on top of it for payment, but for now, it's software.

Give it a try man, and let me know what you think :)

          1. 1

Yeah I will give it a go this weekend man :)

    2. 1

Classics! Love both of these too :)

    1. 2

      Awesome! Thanks for sharing 🙌

    2. 1

Yep fan of Keywords Everywhere! Boei.help looks very cool - I like this a lot! I'm keen to maybe use this actually, at least for a couple of side projects of mine :)

  3. 3

We love Plausible.io as a privacy respecting alternative to Google Analytics @ukutaht https://plausible.io/

    1. 2

Awesome! I've heard of Plausible a few times now and is a serious consideration, especially with GDPR. Price is fairly decent too! :)

      1. 2

Yea I think the price is v. reasonable indeed. Really enjoy not having to have a annoying cookie notice on our site. Big kudos to Uku for that.

        1. 1

          Haha yeah you're not wrong!

  4. 3

For me - Notion and Canva were the 2 biggest discoveries this year. Really impacted my workflow and made it easy to create any graphics in a matter of minutes.

    1. 1

Oh nice never heard of Canva before this year? That's crazy haha! How has Canva improved your workflow out of curiosity?

Love Notion for sure! It's been amazing for us and even myself personally with personal admin stuff :)

How's the newsletter/blog coming along man? I don't think I've seen an email for a while, unless I've somehow missed a recent one? :)

      1. 2

I knew Canva before this year, but I barely used it. This year I actually got to subscribe to access all of the premium features as now I need quite a lot of visuals: Youtube thumbnails, blog thumbnails, other graphics for the blog, Pinterest pin for an affiliate site, etc.

The blog is going great! Yeah, I think the last email was about 2 weeks ago. Right now I am focused on "doing" so once I have something worth to share, I'll make sure to send an email, but don't want to spam everyone every week just "because" - but don't worry, new stuff is coming pretty soon 😉

        1. 2

Sure makes sense - I was about to say very surprised if you had only heard of them until now/recently haha!

Nice! They've done well Canva pushing people to premium.. very good value even for premium!

Awesome, glad it's going well and looking forward to the next addition :)

          1. 2

Thank you, Dan, for the support :)

            1. 1

Of course man no worries :)

  6. 2

👉 Quoters (proposal tool I picked up on AppSumo)
    👉 ConvertFlow (for on-site CTAs)
👉 MixMax (for better inbox management)
👉 Pastel (for landing page feedback)

    1. 2

Oh never heard of Quoters or Pastel before! Thanks for sharing :)

  7. 2

Notion for sure; love it. I also really like MixMax. It's a Gmail plugin, but a lot more as it has a stand alone user interface in addition to the plugin capabilities. They have a really simple and intuitive drip system for cold outreach and a ton of other features. Very affordable and great UX. Highly recommend.

    1. 1

<3 Notion too :). My business partner uses Mixmax and raves about it. I should give it a good go too!

  8. 2

I've been playing with SparkToro's free plan. After looking at some of the cool stuff folks have mentioned here, I may find a more affordable alternative. Thanks, y'all!

    1. 1

Oh awesome! I signed up to Sparktoro but must admit haven't used it properly as of yet.. I definitely need to! Do you get a lot of value out of the free plan though? I remember when I first tried it, I could see the power but was limiting for free (which is fair enough). However, pricing then really goes up. I do see the power of it just on a bootstrap budget at the moment haha

      1. 1

The value in the free plan is pretty good. It'd be great if they had a tier that was for solopreneurs, but the free plan is about 60% of what that would be, I'd say.

The biggest value for me has been just saving even an hour's time in research that I would have had to have done manually.

  9. 2

Great list! I'll add to it Clickup, which I use for project and personal management. So much flexibility and love the number of different views. Another tool I love and is free is draw.io for creating flow charts and process maps.

    1. 2

Yes very good addition - I've been introduced to Clickup with a design contractor I work with and have to say impressed with the UX so far. I'm a big notion fan and happy with it for now but with dealing with contractors, am considering using Clickup so good shoutout :)

Draw.io I love, although have moved to using Figma for it. I use Figma for so many things now :)

  10. 2

    Loom has been great.

    Makes customer support 10x easier.

Our product is very visual but explaining in text is difficult, can send a 10 second video and they understand completely.

    1. 1

Amen to Loom! Honestly such a valuable tool and use it daily :)

  11. 2

https://www.simpletasking.com if you need to manage multiple projects.

    1. 1

Awesome! Cool landing page? What are your main USP's compared to other project management/To-Do softwares out there?

      1. 2

Front-page is WIP! once it is ready the big fonts will make more sense. We are preparing some cool transitions. As USPs, most project management platforms focus on a single product and a single team, and then switching and keeping up with other projects is not well integrated. Trello and Slack come to mind.

With http://www.simpletasking.com you are always up to the minute with all your projects, one click you switch projects and teams. Further, we include Chat, Kanban, Thread, and video conferencing under the same platform. GIve it a try, it really works well!

Have you tried the new RiteKit Package? You probably know RiteTag, but this is just the hashtag generator for images and text. The new Package includes all four social media marketing automation tools, deep discount when you get them with one subscription.
    https://ritekit.com/pricing

It replaces Buffer Premium, Snip.ly Business and probably MeetEdgar as well.

It's what I rely on to fuel our inbound marketing funnel at RiteKit.

Just did this, just 7 minutes, probably worth your time: https://youtu.be/MxIjU1aIDoc

    Happy to answer any questions!

    1. 2

Awesome! This looks pretty good! Especially the snip.ly business part and the fact you can have all in one definitely helps! Very promising will need to sign up anc check it out :)

      1. 2

Thanks so much, Dan. Since you know Snip.ly, please see this page for comparing Rite.ly with Snip.ly: https://help.ritekit.com/en/article/comparing-ritely-with-sniply-15ycekv/

Want to go full whitelabel with Snip.ly? That starts at $149/month (Snip.ly Business plan). With the RiteKit Package, you get that and also you r social publishing, automation dashboard (several times as many content ingestion sources than MeetEdgar) - and the whole package, designed for startups: $65/month.

A warm welcome to get help from us; chat on the site, if you would? We'll win you over. We're still indie. We earn every ounce.

        1. 2

Yeah wow this is pretty neat and I'm impressed already! Will make sure to give you a chat later + sign up! Most likely tomorrow as busy today but want to give this a good run! Well done :)

          1. 2

Also appreciate the follow on Twitter :)

            1. 2

              Glad to know you!

BTW, you'll find you get customer service fastest, if you're in OZ, since I'm in Japan, just a couple hours off, timetimezone-wise.

              1. 1

Awesome sounds good will let you know once I get in contact :)

  13. 2

ShieldApp is pretty good to track linkedin metrics

    1. 1

Nice! I know of ShieldApp but haven't used it before but have been posting a lot more on LinkedIn. Will check it out :)

  14. 2

Launched a new one last month https://linkdra.com . You may want to add to the list for B2B Marketing. It is brand new and very focused on LinkedIn for Top of the funnel stuff.

    1. 1

Interesting - there's a few out there like this @Rayk. How are you different to the likes of Dux Soup, etc? Also, I don't get your pricing easily. What does Rate per hour mean?

      1. 2

Most or should say all of the tools are Chrome Extensions which modify the loaded page at a DOM level and therefore easy to detect. Google around and you will see how many have been banned.

Linkdra is not automation as we know. It's more of a reader and organizer of your actions on LinkedIn and healthy assistance. And NO extension. It's works directly on Chrome with no mods to pages loaded.

Pricing is simple, per user, per month. Curious where you spotted per hour. Wondering if we missed some clean up of pages.

        1. 1

Yeah exactly no need to Google around as I know it for a fact!

Okay nice one I may look into this as need to increase my LinkedIn outreach game! Really good to know thank you :)

Also with the pricing I meant, what does "rate per hour" mean? Alongside then 50 connects per day as an example? Just doesn't seem clear what I am paying for.

          1. 2

Ah! and ouch! That's the savings calculator and the "rate per hour" is assumed cost of user working on lead generation. Targeted mostly towards agencies who look at it as ROI math. It's not related to pricing.

I think we would need to add some remarks to make it clear. Thanks for bringing that up. The commercials are just what is there on the pricing page. BTW, there is reasonable amount of free access for you to check it out and see if it works for you. Go ahead and take it for a spin.

And if you have specific use cases in mind, drop a note to [email protected]. We would love to take care of them. or just setup a discord channel in case you want to have a chat https://discord.gg/Aspfenv

            1. 1

Yeah love the concept/idea of the savings calculator for sure! Have been thinking of doing the same thing. Just wasn't too clear for me personally so would probs best to fix it :)

Will drop a note if I have more specific questions and will check out Linkdra properly on the weekend :)

              1. 1

Awesome! Think we fixed the copy of savings calculator. Let me know if it reads right..

                1. 1

Yep a lot better - copy reads well now and stands out :)
