Hi Guys,
Over the past month, I've talked to dozens of technical recruiters trying to determine what problems they face in the recruiting process.
The answers were very different. What kept recurring was mainly that they were being pulled away from their day jobs for interviews, because apps like Leet Code don't work very well for recruiting for mid/senior positions and they cannot automate technical screening.
I wanted to ask if you guys recruit, and if so, are there any problems you would like to solve in technical recruiting?
Thank you!
To find the right talent. I often go through too many interviews I wish could have been avoided. I have experienced a lot of tech companies using brand new developers where the senior developer is sitting next to them, helping answer questions.
I have found my way around it, but I still see it occasionally.
Since the remote is becoming more common, one of the challenges is how to determine what should be reasonable and competitive salary for developers. It used to be easier to look at the demographical salary data, but it doesn't apply to remote recruiting. I am curious to know if anyone else faced this issue, or if there are any resources that are helpful :)
