What are some cheap / free alternatives to hunter.io ?
I took to scraping google but that's not the smartest as my IP got blocked pretty quickly and google is too smart for my artificial sleeps!
I found https://github.com/maldevel/EmailHarvester an open source tool which works reasonably well!
Here's my list of freemium alternatives to Hunter to find email addresses.
Get 100 emails per service:

Figure out email addresses by permutation: https://name2email.com/ and https://email-format.com/
Then there are services like Aeroleads from @pushkargaikwad
Once you find them, you'll want to make sure you verify the email addresses so your bounce rate isn't atrocious.

I made Growth Gecko to scrape names and company names from LinkedIn:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/growth-gecko-contacts/
You have to use it in conjunction with something like Hunter.io to get the actual emails.
Although it says it's a paid tool, I haven't implemented the payment yet, so go wild until I do!
Always use proxies and rate limiting if you're going to scrape Google. :)
Anyway, I like https://findthatlead.com/ as an alternative to Hunter.io... I believe they have a limited number of calls in their free plan. Especially like that they can provide an email address based on someone's social profile.
Thanks @mikesonders I am using rate limiting. Do you know of any good proxy sources? Ideally free :-p
For paid (but not expensive!), I like MyPrivateProxy.
There are free proxies all over the place (ask Google how to find free proxies using ScrapeBox), but a bunch of people use them as soon as they're available, so they burn out quickly.
Hunter.io blocked me when I tried to create a second account 😅. Now I just ask my friends to create accounts for me when I need it.
