Currently, we have an Android app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yocto.wenote)
Since the app is generating revenue, we do have some extra few bucks, to run paid marketing campaign.
Currently, we are solely using Google Ads, as our paid marketing channel.
One thing we like about Google Ads is that, it is SDK-less. Hence, it has 0 impact on our app size.
Also, we can bid using CPI. With such, we can control our cost, yet able to estimate number of installs we are going to get. Right now, our CPI ranged from $0.01 to $0.10, depending on which country we are targeting.
Besides Google Ads, is there any paid marketing channel we should try out?
We are still hesitate to go for Facebook ads, as it requires us to embed Facebook SDK into our app.
We really hate having 3rd party code in our app, just for running ads promotion purpose. We are very much concern on our app size, and what kind of code should be in our app.
May I know, what kind of app marketing channel, which gives you a pretty good outcome? (Low cost, high retention rate, ...)
Thank you.

I am relaunching my app, and I am looking to increase the number of downloads rapidely, to get this social proof for people landing on the app store page. May i ask you which countries are you targeting to get a $0.01 CPI ?
PS : unfortunately for you, i don't come here with an answer cause I am still a rookie in this area, but coming with a questio :) That being said, I think you can acheive pretty low CPI on Quora too !
