What are some great tools & platforms to build community websites?
Frankly, I think IndieHackers is a wonderful site with all the right tools and features. I've often wondered if this was made from scratch, or some service or a boilerplate. Does anyone know?
In general, I am looking for a platform/serve/tool that'll make it easier for me to launch a community.

If you are starting a community I wouldn't be so concerned about the tech, the ability to gather people on something of interest is far more important. Investment in the tech can come later with traction.
Maybe have a scroll through the Community Building group to see if anything of interest there catches your eye.
