What are some ideas for getting engagement from the indie hacker community?

Noob question: I just joined Indie Hackers and am looking to learn some ideas or strategies to get meaningful engagement from the community. Whether it's sharing progress, asking for feedback, or contributing to discussions, what has worked for you?

I’d love to hear any tips or personal experiences that could help me connect better and contribute value here! 🙌

Here are some tips that worked for me:

    • Sharing small wins, like the first sale, first $100, or first $1000. Tell your story briefly.
    • Sharing the process, what you did today, how you did that, what worked, what didn't work.
    • As a designer myself, I shared my designs and rational thinking behind them. You can try that on your niche.
    • Don't use too much AI while writing, use your tone, use your unique problem, and process, and show authority.

I built my website template business the same way, I shared my small wins along the way in X, Reddit, and here.

your point about using my tone and leaning into my experience hits home. Authenticity resonates, and it’s something I going to prioritize more.

congrats on building your web store—it looks dope. Bookmarking Pentaclay for some inspiration.
