I'd like to start getting out of the house and working from coffee shops. However, I often wander into a seemingly great place only to discover that it doesn't have wifi or power outlets.
I do like Haus in the Mission. They bake and sell bread, and it's super good. The atmosphere is nice, too:
What are your favorite places to work from?
If you hop and BART and find yourself in the east bay, THE spot is http://www.aucoquelet.com
@AntCas this is your area of expertise right? :)
Thanks for thinking of me :D
Check out https://goodworkcafes.com/ and search "SF", I've got 100+ cafes in San Francisco crowd-sourced and scored for how nice they are to work out of by wifi speed, seating, coffee etc.
The website is still in BETA so hit me up here or on Twitter with any bugs or feature requests, thanks!

The five best cafe's to work in in San Francisco are
Flore
Steep Brew (Whole Foods Market)
Quetzal Internet Cafe
Precita Park Cafe & Grill (before 5pm when WiFi shuts off)
Robin's Cafe
One of my favorite spots to work from is the Yerba Buena gardens patio - there's a million coffee shops nearby and then you can enjoy a nice green view and breath some fresh air. I'm there right now: https://i.imgur.com/V1rBrVY.jpg
Other places I've worked at before and enjoyed:
I've also recently started attending "WorkClub" events: https://workclub.app/. It's usually $5 and they'll have a reserved space in some coffee shop or large brewery where a bunch of strangers get together to work on their separate things. They're good people, I love attending these.
during the days of COVID - are any cafes with out door seating and wifi? I need to get out of the house a bit, even for enough time on battery it would make a nice change.
Philz in the Dogpatch has been great lately
Not a coffee shop but I usually hit Golden Gate Valley library in Cow Hollow right after grabbing an iced toddy from Blue Fog Market! Very quiet usually which is great
The Capital One cafe is nice if a little bland. Half off coffee with Capital One, good amount of space/power.
I always use https://workfrom.co/. It has lots of good crowd sourced information on coffeeshops and co-working spaces. Even average WiFi speeds submitted by users.
Come to think of this, workclub does not cover my area, methinks got to launch something like this in my area, should not take too long. 👍
901 Columbus cafe was my go to. It's spacious, it's got plenty of power outlets, there's a good selection of coffees, teas other drinks and food and the price is right.
