What are the best places to soft launch your product?

Btw, Id love to know more about Reactive Streaming ... I have a livestream based project thats about to start in a couple of weeks and Ive been researching this space. Have explored Agora a bit. Would love to understand he differences between RS and Agora.

Depending on your budget, you could try services like UserBrain or UserTesting. I've used UserBrain as they give 1 free test.
You basically post a job with a list of tasks, the tester then records themselves on your website describing what they're doing to complete those tasks.
I've had some useful feedback and it's great as you can target different demographics.
I would target Facebook groups.
Go in there with the sole purpose of providing a value, not to promote tf out of your product. Write an article that offers something of value to the community and just mention your launch (95% content, 5% marketing your launch)
Reddit can be a very toxic and unwelcoming place unless you’re posting in r/sideproject etc.

Apart from that, I used my own social media channels, selected Facebook groups, and other targeted communities. For example, I started this side project on Notion, so I went to a Notion group with over 20K members.
Depending on your product, you could start by creating an integration with something like Shopify. Their sheer number of customers make it very easy for you to acquire new customers with relative ease (compared to, say, running ads or Google) in, say, their app store.
There's a bit of upfront work, but if you're building something anyway, these would be real paying customers and will (almost definitely) give you very realistic feedback (while you get paid).

Cool product! I typically love to build an audience that is interested in the brand, product or myself. I think Hacker News and building thought pieces around that is very important. Even consider building your audience through some interesting trends around streaming, etc...
Since your product is focused on startups, should you have a list of start ups that are working in video and see if they would want to integrate your product?
