Hello everybody. I've released my app, Book Track, two months ago on the App Store and Mac App Store. I've sent a lot of emails to websites in order to get a free and genuine review. Only few of them have done it. The biggest website was MacStories, plus a couple of German websites.
I'd like to get covered in more websites but it is difficult to found bloggers which write a review without having payed. What are the best sites that review apps for free? I'm not looking for payed article but real reviews. I'd like to know if you know sites (not only English) with a good number of followers.
Thank you

And... :) I've found whole book "Pitch Perfect: The Art of Promoting Your App on the Web":

But it has poor rating
Thanks for the list !
I wanna do the same thing for my product. Can you share your results, please? How many emails did you send, how many articles you've got?
Now I've only created the spreadsheet with keywords (competitor names, app keywords, etc.), and then I found at least 50 blogs (google, youtube) for each keyword... I wanna write to at least 600 contacts dreams =))..
But I don't know what to say, what will give them value, why they should waste their time promoting my product.. What do you write?
I've written a total of 84 email and only 7 blogs have written an article about the app. The email template is quite simple: I shortly describe the app, then I add promo codes to download it for free and lastly I add some resources like the website or the store link. Now I've difficulty finding other websites to ask for a review. But before send other emails I'd like to know how to better engage bloggers.
I don't know about the blogs, but you could try to exchange the ad with some book stores. Maybe integrate the purchase button with them too (they can integrate the button "buy later" on their site). So if your partner shop is rather popular he can give you a lot of users and increase his retention.
It's a good idea. I have to go deeper. Thank you.
It seems you have rather good conversion
Do you really think that? Maybe I'm too pessimistic. However I've to add another website to the list. So, now there are 8 blogs over 84, which is 9.5% of conversion rate.
I expect:
~5% - success - free articles / videos
~20% - ignore
~65% - only paid ads. The most profitable for me I'll buy.
So your numbers is good :)
You can do more, of course.
I don't know about websites, but have you looked to see where your competitors are getting coverage? Or look for website that are very specific to your niche?
Also think about what is in it for the website. How can you make it super easy for them to write something? Why should they spend their time writing something?
Did you mean that I've to rethink my strategy to contact bloggers? What could be a good approach?
