What are the most popular platforms for course creators?

I would like to ask the community what are the most popular platforms to create online courses? And what are their advantages/disadvantages?

@ChristopherGS this is really good. Do you know how easy is to integrate external applications on these platforms?
What sort of external applications are we talking? Most of these platforms offer integrations with mainstream analytics & marketing tools (e.g. aweber, Mailchimp, mixpanel). However there are some hidden gotchas like in some cases requiring the integration to be done with Zapier (which the author will then have to pay for also)
I'm referring to general apps, like ones that can be accessed via an API
@rcmy I remember talking about this very topic along with another entrepreneur a while back and he told me Skillshare is a really good platform to create and deliver online courses.
Since I am not so sure about the advantages/disadvantages about the platform itself, I'll pass on that question. However, on another note, I think your product has great value to present but you can do a better job at further improving the landing page.
