What are the open-source applications that make the most difference to your business?

Digitization of businesses in Germany leaves a lot to be desired. At the same time, business digitization across Europe and the world is heavily dependent on US technology. Recent political events have already demonstrated that we need better diversification in tech . As usual, Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) remains the most stable platform to build upon.

This is, however, all nerd talk. Non-tech businesses and small government organizations largely don't care about tech ecosystem in general. What they want is software systems that helps them deliver more value to their customers - without needing an IT department to maintain said software. At least, that's the thesis that HeimApp.de is aiming to prove.
