What're the top ONLINE communities that you BELONG to?

Indie Hackers is obviously one place for most of us. What else?

It's got a really passionate community of entrepreneurs shipping in the open.
It's great. I joined yesterday. Looks like a booming place.

That one and Indie Hackers are the ones I frequent, however I am about a dozen facebook groups, though I'm not sure I'd classify them as communities because they're more utilitarian.
What's the best thing you like about MegaMaker? How are the vibes there?
Pretty professional. It's a community full with really successful people, so it's easy to pick up gems or get really trajectory changing advice. It's small and powerful.
For people coming from IH, the vibe is less optimistic and celebrating, which I like. If you post a shit landing page, you'll be told it's shit.
It gives me a feeling that I am not good enough to apply lol.
That's a great thing to have in a community. Real honestly. That's really hard to get with public communities.

I do not know why but I never felt like I belong to a community. Never ever in my entire life: middle school, high school, multiple sports teams, university, first job, second job, n-th job, an MMORPG clan, online forums (including the loveliest places in the world: IH and PH), online chats. Never.
This is kinda weird and it definitely makes me sad because I'm a social animal like all of us. I never got used to this cold feeling of loneliness.
The only way for me to feel fine in a community is to start it by myself. This is why I prefer parties and activities which I initiate.

It is an old-skool forum where folks like me (not too many of them, but still something) talk about coding, design, marketing, lifestyle - all the topic makers talk about.
Good for you for creating your own space and define the vibes within it.

I'm actually just now trying to focus more on IndieHackers. I've seen the community before and been impressed with the "this is actually a community" feel but never had the time to contribute. Now I'm trying to use IH as my go-to to replace doom scrolling O_O

I am also curating communities, but my focus is on communities between 100 - 5000 members. This makes sure the communities are actually a niche whose members have a common set of problems versus a heterogenous one.
also, the top 3 categories of communities are designers, marketers, and engineers. So they are quite similar.
hobbyist communities tell us a bit more about the real world than the business world that we're already too familiar with. :-D
