What are you launching in the remaining part of 2023?

We are half past November and on the verge ending 2023 (6 more weeks, let that sink in)

Let us know in the comments on the indie project that you are working on, when are you planning to launch and if you are seeking any feedback or early users.

Excited to see what my fellow indie makers are working on :)

hehe, way past your bedtime... 2026 now!

  2. 8

I just launched mine on Product Hunt yesterday: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/spendid-2

I'm seeking feedback from early users mostly on the UX front, but any feedback in general is very much appreciated.

It's my first time launching something, so a lot of times I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. But to be honest, launching in itself is already an achievement for me this 2023.

Looking forward to seeing what others are working on in the remaining days of the year :)

    1. 2

I love the tagline "Track Expenses, Not Headaches". Congrats on launching! The app and your website look great. I especially like the UI for adding a transaction - it's seriously so simple and straightforward.

A couple pieces of UX feedback:

      • The success dialogs got kinda annoying. I felt like they lasted just a smidge too long and didn't need to be a complete screen takeover moment. Could they be something smaller and show up after going back to the main list?
      • This one is def more of a personal preference/feature request, but I'd like the ability to pick different colors for the transactions screens, or maybe a lighter color scheme - the red is just very red.

Can I ask what stack you used to build it? I'm working on my first mobile app, too, and am curious what your experience has been with whichever one you used (I'm using FlutterFlow).

      1. 2

The success dialogs no longer block the screen - good catch!
As for the color issue, I've decided to work on dark mode (and other themes after) after my wip new feature.

I'm very thankful for the valuable feedback. I hope the app still serves you well and always happy to hear any feedback of yours in the future.

Also please let me know if you have any indie work soon, would love to support!

        1. 1

Ah, that was so quick! You're very welcome, and I'll def let you know any other feedback I can.

I'm aiming to launch something next month: Impulse Bye. It's linked in my profile. Funnily enough, after I left that feedback for you, I realized I was doing the same thing with having a really bright color takeover the screen 😆

          1. 1

Haha that is awesome. Looking forward to seeing Impluse Bye!

      2. 1

oh my goodness, thank you so much for your valuable feedback, Sarah! I've written them down <3

I built it with React and TypeScript and made it as a PWA. My experience with my stack has been great - I'm a web dev so I went with what I can use to build it faster. I don't have experience with FlutterFlow, sorry :(

        1. 1

Of course! Happy to offer it. And nice! I'm a web dev too (I use Vue though). It's very cool to see how nice a React PWA can look.

          1. 1

oh nice, I haven't worked with Vue as well but only heard good things about it. I'm sure regardless of the tech used, it can look nice :)

    2. 1

Hi, congratulations on the launch, it is never easy to build something from zero to one. It is nice looking app, however, I would love to see more distinct features when compare to other similar budgeting products. As a consumer, I felt it lacks a hook. Of course it is all about iterations. Wish you product well and well done again!

      1. 1

You hit the nail on the hook-lacking part. I'm currently working on adding gamification to it, to encourage users to build a habit of tracking expenses and mindful spending. There will be more new stuff later on, but I'm just trying to get feedback after each iteration and see if my thesis is right. Thank you for your feedback - it really confirms what I've been worrying about a lot so far :D

    3. 1

      Hi codexl!

I am working at a finance niche as well with a little different approach but would love to support the niche. Upvoted and gave a follow! Curious If you're happy to be in touch around some pitfalls you experienced as I have not launched yet and some experiences you have will be super insightful.

Looking forward to seeing you get that high spot for the days and getting the app myself!

      1. 1

thank you for the support! I'd be very happy to be in touch and talk about pitfalls and such... I'm not an expert but looking forward to sharing with and learning from other indie hackers

    4. 1

The UI looks so pleasant and sleek. When are you planning to launch for iOS?

Btw budget/expense trackers are such a difficult nut to crack and there are so many apps but only a few are well known for its simplicity. What's you plan to differentiate?

Btw, even I launched on Product Hunt today. Check it out here.
      https://www.producthunt.com/posts/indie-deals

In case you ever plan on offering a deal on your product, feel free to submit it :)

      1. 1

Thank you for your nice words! iOS is planned for Q1 2024 :D

To be honest, I'm not yet nailing a solid differentiation at the moment (I have lots in mind which I shared in my landing's FAQ), that's why I'm starting to launch now to get feedback and iterate.

Love indie deals, followed and upvoted. Hope to see it at the top :)

An app for skiers to share rides and find nearly ski-friends.

I wanna get people on it for this winter! Starting with a beta in a few weeks for people on the waitlist.

    shredcrew.ski

  4. 3

Hi! I've recently opened the waitlist for sikey(dot)io. The first version is scheduled to be released in December.

It's a no-code tool that can help people launch a waitlist or a landing page. In fact, this landing page is made entirely using sikey.io.

I initially built it for myself to help me quickly validate my ideas, but I realized that it could be a valuable tool for others as well.

    1. 2

Would it evolve to become a drag and drop builder or is it one already but the images do not convey it?

I would say if this simplifies the process of creating landing pages for indie makers then this would brilliant alternative to say Carrd.

Btw, once your product is ready I would request you to submit it on NoCodeStash.

      1. 1

Hi @adithya, it's partly drag and drop builder I would say, but it's not like the usual page builder where you can drag and drop each elements.

The building process on this one is section-by-section, meaning you can add pre-built sections to the page depending on your taste (like Canva) and just fill up the form on the left side, and then you can change the positions of the sections with drag and drop.

I'll submit it to NoCodeStash once it's ready. Thanks for the suggestion!

  5. 3

Tomorrow I'm launching https://aimsg.io/. My first-ever solo project. Small tool designed to help freelancers, marketers, etc. generating personalized starter messages on LinkedIn

  6. 3

I just launched my new app a few days ago.

A lot of fixes and updates in sight. Probably not launching anything else this year (not counting the numerous planned updates to the app, though).

If you travel, feel free to check out Ratepunk

🌱 Hey there! 🤔 Honestly, I've been in a bit of a motivation slump, so no new projects in the pipeline for the remainder of 2023. Taking this time to recharge and plan for a fresh start in the upcoming year. Any tips on overcoming the motivation blues are highly welcome! 🚀

    1. 1

Rest is so necessary. Kudos to you for prioritizing it!

For overcoming motivation blues, I like doing a bit of retrospective thinking about recent projects I've done/worked on. I find it pretty motivating to take a step back and think about what I was able to accomplish, what I learned, the process, what worked, what didn't etc.

    2. 1

Breaks are much needed, it will double your execution and efficiency once your back to work mode. Enjoy your break :)

  8. 2

Still in the planning stages but I was hoping to start work on IdeasCooking a StackOverflow meets ProductHunt community where people can post their problems/pain points with pretty much anything and people can come together to suggest ideas to solve the problems or recommend products that already exist. I kinda want to get creators involved as well that would build solutions to these problems. It's kinda like "somebody make this" by IndieHacker or the subreddit but approaching it from the "what is the initial problem that makes you want this feature or product".

  9. 2

I just built a macOS app for easily transcribing Audio using OpenAI's whisper API.
You can check it out here(https://aiaudiokit.pages.dev/).

I'm gonna built lil macOS app like this for the rest of the year!

    1. 1

Hey @mukhtharcm, thanks for your comment and all the best as you to work on your app. Noticed your app Indie.Deals too.

        1. 1

Hey, my name is Amogh & i Just Launched echonow(dot)co, A powerful browser extension that Effortlessly allows you to leave voice comments on popular platforms like Google Suite, Notion, Miro, Jira, and many more with real-time transcription.

I am looking for early adopters & feedback on the MVP. ( I don't mind roasts ) 'm super excited for the new year with a goal to achieve $1000MRR in the next three months.

  10. 2

We are launching usermotion.com for B2B SaaS companies to enable account growth, retention, and revenue expansion with actionable insights on product-account interactions.

Excited than ever! Hope to hear some feedback from B2B and SaaS people, who experience and struggle to identify and prioritize leads. Cheers!

  11. 2

None. I launched Fotion last week ( User feedback tool that stores all feedback in notion database instead of 3rd party SaaS DB ). I would be spending the rest of the year polishing it and getting feedback from users.

    https://usefotion.app

  12. 2

Being a Design Agency, I get this a lot from founders especially First Time Founders who don't know much about UI/UX & always rely on random designers & believe whatever they get.

Hence, we are building this AI assistant that goes through their Hero Section & helps them with suggestions on how to reduce the bounce rate & improve the Conversion.
You can try it for your website & share any feedback you may have.

  13. 2

"Launch" seems like the wrong word but we're definitely in a place where we need feedback and early users! Lochbox(dot)app is our private messenger that gives users exclusive control of their encryption for chats, calls, and meetings. We take privacy to a whole new level and are looking for ways to help our message resonate.

    1. 1

I really like your header "Your Key(s) To Truly Private Communications". It's clever and made me feel really curious about what the keys are.

That being said, I got kinda confused when I scrolled down and saw the other products after the app. I got confused about Lochbox is - is it the app? Or is it the app and the hub and the manager? are they all required to get truly private communication?

Going back to the "Key(s)", I think it could be interesting to play with that more. You could start with an overview of all the products/apps (the keys) and how they relate, then get into their details one by one.

      1. 1

Thanks for taking a look! Definitely some valuable insight. As a creator, it's too easy to forget what people don't know about your product since you know everything about it and have been so close to it for so long.

  14. 2

RateYourStyle - a fashion hub for people to share outfit pics, link and review clothing items, and keep inventory of what's in their closet

I built and launched the site about a month ago and have a few beta users after "marketing" through tik tok, subreddits and product hunt. Open to any sort of feedback!

    1. 2

oh woah! This is so cool - I love the partnering w local boutiques aspect, and the closet inventory. I started making an AirTable of my closet but never finished it. Maybe I'll jump in here instead.

I'm not really sure I get what's the goal with the ratings though. Is it for winning the contests, or is it supposed to be feedback for people's outfits? If it's supposed to be feedback, I'd love to see more descriptive options. Instead of numbers, people could choose options like "cozy" or "too many textures".

      1. 1

Thanks @sarahjoy! The ratings have been a source of confusion for a few users as well so I'm going to try and change that feature soon. But yes, originally the intent was feedback! (Do you think adding a comment section would help, so that users leave both a rating and a comment? Part of me feels stubborn about keeping the ratings because of the site name 😅 )

If you decide to try out the website, I would absolutely love to know any feedback you might have about the table/closet feature! Would like to add more features to it but I'm not sure where to start 😄

        1. 1

I think a comment could be helpful! It would depend on the people leaving the comments though. Totally understand wanting to keep the ratings!

Just now, the name RateYourStyle made me think I'm rating my own style, so maybe it could be like the person posting rates their own outfit, then everyone else can rate it by agreeing or disagreeing, plus a comment explaining?

And I will for sure let you know when I try it out and any feedback re: the table 😊

  15. 2

PostNitro is now live on Product Hunt and needs your support to get the top spot 😊

Your support on Product Hunt would mean a lot!
    https://www.producthunt.com/posts/postnitro

We've worked hard to create an easy-to-use carousel post-generation platform, which 720+ users currently use.

We are entirely bootstrapped, and the platform is free to use while in beta.

PS: a shoutout on your social channel would be appreciated!

That sounds cool .. I'll take a look .. congratulations on getting the 6th spot!

  16. 2

Honestly nothing new, moving from alpha to beta version of my notion to blog tool 🍋 lamento.in and going to do a proper campaign for my gym landing page template store.akilesh.io

    1. 1

correct link name - lamento in

      1. 1

        Thanks man 🙏🏼

  17. 2

I recently launched a daily word game called Emojirades: https://emojirades.com/

    1. 2

This is really fun! I got today's on the first try 😆

      1. 1

Glad you enjoyed it! I've been trying to think of ways to improve the game and get the word out. It's been a bit tough 😅

  18. 2

I recently launched GitPause, a code-freeze period automation SaaS for GitHub repositories, and listed it on Github marketplace.

That was my first indie launch and I think I am still using it as a testbed for a bunch of tactics. Needless to say it's not doing very well until now!

But as a tech person myself working with scalable server-side infrastructure on my day-job, I'm more than eager to find my next product to work on for the remainder of 2023. I'd say my top aims for now are:

    • learn SEO as at the moment I am entirely clueless about marketing or how to reach my customers in an automated manner
    • experiment more with finding product-market-fit
    • learn react.js as I don't want to rely on 3rd-parties for building interfaces for any potential apps

Glad to be here and part of this community :D

  19. 2

I just launched veilMail.io to stop website email addresses from getting web scraped .

And I will be rebranding our form back service FabForm.io

    1. 1

I love the concept. Does it currently support customizable UI?

    2. 1

Ooh VeilMail is an interesting idea. I def get way too much spam mail.

  20. 2

Hi! Currently working on the mvp release for all the beta user for my app https://chnge.app. limiting the scope for myself to have 1month along side now cleaning up and adding all the things I need for the landing page updates I need to do from getting loads of great feedback from the community hear at IndieHackers and the beloved folk at Reddit.

    Good luck all!

    1. 2

I like the direction you're going with chnge! You asked to keep in touch earlier, on which channel would you like to do that? If IH only then I can share what helped me right here...

Regarding pitfalls, I can only talk about my past projects that failed and that I eventually abandoned (because they failed). The #1 reason is that I kept them to myself for too long, trying to perfect or complete it, only to release to crickets and find out no one wants them and they're not solving anyone's problem.

With my current app, I'm overcoming that sickness of not launching and sharing early AND OFTEN with anyone who will listen and get valuable feedback on everything.

What's tremendously helping me now are the things I learned from Michael Seibel. I highly recommend watching all the videos you can find on YouTube with him on it. All the golden nuggets, wisdom, and knowledge he shares for free are unbelievably helpful. Mostly about launching, building your MVP, talking to users, finding an idea, PMF, and all that sh*t. Best of luck and happy to keep in touch!

      1. 1

I was actually thinking it would be super cool if there was a way to chat over IH to others that you want to keep in touch with. I am frequently on here keeping and eye and looking at what I could do to better so if you have a place we can chat and connect or even here, the notifications help keep me up to speed.

With regards to the failed project, I have never released and always built, I am noticing a lot of people talk about how important it is to build, and iterate and remember ideas are cheap and execution is everything. You made a good point of releasing and this is what I'm definitely going to do, currently new to me and because I'm not the most "social" it's very hard fo even get the communication part correct which I constantly deal with so marketing is perpetual uphill battle. I am posting weekly updates on here and on reddit as I figure things out but any other places you know, I'm all ears!

Michael Seibel I had a look at and I never recalled names but saw his face and realized I had watched but never intentionally all the the time, I'm going to do this now going forward.

  21. 2

I'm working on an app for tracking the money you didn't spend. It's called Impulse Bye, and I'm building it with the hopes that it'll help me stop buying hundreds of dollars worth of kitchen appliances I use once and only once.

I can't post links yet, but I have a link in my profile to a post about it in the FlutterFlow community space. They're having a competition and it was a huge motivator to get to MVP (or as close as I can by Monday).

I'm hoping to get it launched as a beta in December, so will def be looking for early users and feedback when that happens. It's my first time launching a mobile app, so if there are any other FlutterFlow users out there, I'd love to connect and hear about your launches and apps.

    1. 1

      Hi Sarah,

Pretty cool name, the concept doesn't have to limit itself to physical goods but can apply for SaaS subscriptions too.

And btw, as an active NoCode maker - I would definitely love to try out the app once it available and share it with the NoCode community I am part of as well. When are you planning to open it up for beta?

      1. 1

Thanks Adithya! That's true, I didn't even think of recurring expenses.

That would be awesome and much appreciated! I'm aiming for mid-December.

  22. 1

Hey community, I hope this comment finds you well, i am looking for feedback for a small side project I am building called Echo - www.echonow.co
Echo allows you to effortlessly leave voice comments inside google docs, sheets, slides & more.

Looking forward to seeing what others are working on in the remaining days of the year :)

    1. 1

Looks really interesting. When did you launch and how has been the feedback?

Btw, if you have received reviews - see if you can highlight to build social proof. That's my feedback based on the initial look. All the best.

On the side note, if you think your resource would be useful for aspiring indie makers you can consider publishing it to Indie(dot)Deals. Disclosure: It is managed by me since the launch in 2022 :)

      1. 1

It’s already listed on your site!

And yes, bulking up on reviews where I can

I'm trying hard to finish up and launch my database of SaaS companies and their employees at https://www.saasydb.com by the end of the year! It's tough because I'm doing client work to try to survive financially while I build it, but that work takes up precious dev time...

  27. 1

I have launched decentool.com . I believe the tool will be very helpful to anybody who want to do keyword research. The tool will go tru thousands of keywords, analyze it based on google traffic, volume, trend and difficulty and then give you the best 100 keywords for your specific market and target customer.

If you guys are starting blogging or creating website and want to know which keywords is the best to target, I would recommend you guys to try out my tool.

  28. 1

Can’t believe the year is almost over!

I’m starting a SaaS that makes it easier and faster for founders to register for their trademarks. Through this, I hope to help as many people as possible register for trademarks without them being confused, frustrated, or miserable during the process.

I’m looking for feedback and early users!

    Let me know :)

This week: Dittofeed Android SDK for a mobile push feature
Next week: Dittofeed white labeling support for marketing agencies

To be transparent, my co-founder and I got some funding this year, so we're no longer "indie". BUT we're fully open-source and have indie contributors who rock :)

  30. 1

We just launched our ai game and app icon generator for free! https://appiconlab.com

  31. 1

A scheduling tool for dental clinics

  32. 1

Just released PixelGen. A tool to make image creation using AI simpler, without the hassle of having to write complex prompts. A user simply clicks on a few keywords and they're done.

  33. 1

Hopefully, a better messaging service, with the emails looked more professional. Initially I thought it would just be an cosmetic upgrade, but as I started the discussion with the customer, the requirements has been building up. I am learning to strike a balance here. This is a good discussion topic which makes me think. Thank you.

  34. 1

I am working on Chrome extension I will provide details later

I am currently working on Leadify, a Software that makes creating Leadmagnets, analyzing them and collecting prospects easier!
Saw that there was a lot of automation in areas like Email-Marketing but not in Leadmagnets.

    Hey !
I am beginner in here, launched a new Backend as a Service Platform, called "Genetous". (I could not give the link here)

We are now available in PRIVATE BETA and looking for early adopters. In this period, It is really hard to keep motivation high because we need time to explain to people how easy mobile and web development process is and how Genetous benefits to their business.

If you have time, we would love to hear your comments and be a part of the Genetous Family.
    Thank you

  38. 1

I started building an AI image generation bot months ago and had been using it privately with family and close friends, but I decided to release it publicly. It’s called lul (I can’t post links here yet but you can do a Google search for “lul bot” and it should show up). What I released publicly is v1, but I’m already alpha testing v2 and I’ll be releasing it within a couple months—it has a conversational style similar to DALL·E 3 in ChatGPT, but the results are much much better (on par with Midjourney).

  39. 1

I am finally launching my AI Transcription SAAS that I built for my mother to use. https://www.videototextai.com/

I know that there are quite a few startups in this space already like otter.ai, rask.ai etc. but I am amazed by how expensive those are. So I built something a lot cheaper. While I do not have all of the features (yet) that the startups have, I am hoping to build out the most useful ones for my customers from their feedback.

Happy to hear any feedback on this.

    1. 2

Literally passes the mom test then :-)

  40. 1

Finally launching into doing market research 😅. But taking a break from making small products that go into the void.

If anyone has any suggestions for markets or small niches that I should into or have any suggestions/advice on how to do cold outreach to people to ask them more about the field, please let me know!

  41. 1

I'm have few in-progress project but I'm not sure any will be ready till end of 2023.
the first one is a private video streaming service.
second one is a ATS platform, I have the community with over 10K member.
third one is about education, Learning management system, which is on hold for now.

Break Free Dev Environments Approach which indulges:
Deployment Flexibility: Your code, your rules. Run it on your local rig, internal servers, or choose a cloud flavor – AWS, Azure, GCP, you name it. I want to design a website for price action novices to learn price action online, with the following content:

    1. Basic price action techniques: market analysis, support and resistance analysis, and technical indicator analysis.
    2. A complete set of trading strategies: multi-time analysis framework, entry timing, stop-profit and stop-loss, and capital management
    3. Trading tools: use of trading view
    4. Interactive learning: I will make full use of interactive capabilities to enhance learners’ understanding and application through multiple-choice questions, sorting questions, answer questions, etc.

This website is currently in the demand verification stage. Can you give me some suggestions?

Hello! 👋 Just opened a waitlist for Deckpilot.io. Launching beginning 2024, after successfully bootstrapped my other project to $800 MRR.

It's a tool that visualizes raw spreadsheets by converting them into neat PDF reports. If you're a founder looking to quickly create a report for your shareholders, this will save you a lot of time and design effort.

    Happy to hear your feedback!

I own Maidily, a scheduling software for cleaning businesses. We had huge plans for December, a totally new version - we were calling it version 3. Revamped UI, new functionality both on web and app.

Unfortunately due to an internal conflict all of these awesome plans...which were 50% of the way done...have been completely derailed until 2024. Its been a struggle.

I am a new Indie maker. A housewife trying to become a solopreneur. Have a long way to go. I am building OscarAI, a desktop app that helps with content editing or creation with intuitive UX and focus on privacy. Just Copy content from any app, and instruct OscarAI to make it short, make it long, change tone and more. OscarAI will directly work on your clipboard , no frequent copy&paste. But copy, edit with OscarAI and paste. OscarAI can even write your emails like leave applications and more. The best part we are using custom LLM which helps us manage cost and could allow for cost effective access. Excited and looking for early feedback. Interested folks please email me , I can share links to app.

    Hey, I am relaunching https://goalign.io/.

We originally built Goalign to track OKRs, but more importantly KPIs. Based on various feedbacks it is clear that the KPI software is hard to gain adoption unless we have integrations which seem to be a huge undertaking to do without solid traction. so, we are relaunching just with the OKR feature. The OKR feature is the most simplest of many you will find and we are making it quite affordable too. Launching in couple of weeks.

Hi! Just took a quick look around - noticed a couple of things:

      • your app subdomain does not have a valid SSL certificate which makes chromium to block the opening of that url
      • your pricing section on your landing page does not appear at all, looks entirely blank
      1. 1

Thanks for taking a look. We haven't relaunched it yet and it is work in progress. Should be ready to go in couple of weeks. I will ping you back to try then. Would be great to get feedback.

    Hey! I'm working on Knowlee.

It's a full autonomous AI Agent that based on the data sources you provide, like docs, videos, social posts, URLs, he can learn and support you on creating new fresh content or on giving financial guidance. Its insights for crypto and stocks are outstanding, in this way you are more confident and aware of what is happening in the market.

You can also create agents from scratch to let you manage all your daily activities in an automated way!

    Many thanks :)

Sounds very exciting. Do you think this is impacted by the CustomGPT thingy they OpenAI released? Also, how are you managing hallucinations? I managed to try custom GPTs and finding that it is hard for GPTs to follow multiple chain instructions in right sequence without hallucination. Would love to learn how are you doing it!

      1. 1

We are relying on CustomGPTs from OpenAI :) We are also relying on GPT4 Vision to interpret images.
Then, GPT4 Turbo with 128k context and Pinecone to extend the context in your conversation, de facto this is the best combination to reeduce the hallucinations and the results are very good so far :)

Would you test Knowlee? We are looking for Beta Testers that could bring valuable feedbacks :)

        1. 1

Yeah, happy to do it. Please let me know.

          1. 1

you can register for free here https://knowlee.ai
            in a nutshell:

            1. upload docs/add data sources
            2. interact with knowlee by chatting and asking questions related to your data
            3. you can get insights from crypto stats data or
            4. you will be able to create custom agents soon!

Feel free to ping us on [email protected]

I had a look. Like the overall look and feel. But the UX is something I struggled with a little bit. I think it will be useful if you see me using the software without me telling you what I should do. I talk through what I am thinking while using which will help you think about the UX I guess.

    Hey Adithya,

I am building Jingle Bio which will be launching on Christmas Day (you know why 😉).

Jingle Bio is a unique link-in-bio platform designed specifically for creators like yourself. It allows you to showcase your digital highlights and even monetize them.

Right now, we're in the beta phase of development and I would love to invite you to give it a try. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated as we continue refining the product.

Looks great, it is like Bento but AI sprinkled around.

And I guess the timing would be perfect for launch, how do you plan to differentiate with similar tools?
