🔥 Recently launched https://storypitch.ai and it's already helped several founders craft their founding story and pitch!

A couple of people have asked "can I not just use ChatGPT for this?". The answer is yes, you can! But like everything else with ChatGPT, if you're not a expert in your field (i.e. storytelling) then you're unlikely to properly interpret its results and guide it to generate a great story.

Storypitch combines AI with 10 years of human expertise in storytelling to craft a powerful, 60-second founding story that actually resonates with your audience.

Before AI/GPT, this used to cost a few thousand dollars. Thanks to AI, founders can now get a great story for as little as $79 😃

    1. 2

I'm curious where you got the 10 years of human expertise from? Did you populate a vector database with a bunch of past pitches?

    2. 1

The power of GPT is sometimes terrifying, but I just love it

    3. 1

      Wow, this is remarkable.

I'm in the process of creating an app that automates shopping research using LLMs. It will aggregate reviews from many sources, and suggest products to buy based on user criteria. I personally find it takes me weeks to decide on a particular product, especially if it's expensive. I don't however know if other people struggle with the same. I created a really bare bones MVP to test out the hypothesis, starting with just electronics. Can't post the link, but I'm hoping to learn how other people's shopping journeys look, and what types of pain points they face in the process.

I've built userhelp.co - A bug and feedback reporting tool for SaaS.

I've been building web tools for some time now and have had many bugs that weren't discovered on time, so I've decided to make this little tool to help us indie developers catch bugs quicker.

    1. 1

I think that if you make the landing page and the messaging more captivating, you could definitely increase your prices. I think you are priced too low :)

  7. 3

I have released this product today. 19 people are using it so far

Taking a lot of inspiration from Apache Airflow and Prefect over in the Python world, I am working on an open source job orchestration platform for C#/.NET. No one has built anything like this yet for .NET, so I’m very very excited - I think it’ll be quite successful. It’s called Didact.

I’m also building a micro SaaS app for Power BI users called Displagent.

  12. 3

I'm building Receipt-AI.com - a receipt management system for business owners that utilizes AI and text messages. Users can simply take a picture of a receipt and send it via text. Our system then extracts the information and uploads the receipt to their preferred accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks.

We originally built this for internal use, but when we realized how much we enjoyed using it every day, we decided to launch it.

    1. 1

@queeniepeng This is an excellent and futuristic concept! Individuals would certainly be enthusiastic about sharing their receipts as text. Furthermore, this solution addresses the issue of transitioning from large space-consuming PNG files to more compact text formats. Have you considered extending this functionality to other e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or Squarespace? It could greatly benefit their users as well.

      1. 1

Very interesting. How do you think this can help Shopify or Squarespace users?

  13. 3

I've been in the niche website space for several years and am trying to grow a productized SEO service for small to mid-sized businesses. I got the idea from Brett over at DesignJoy. Have got a simple landing page up but would love any feedback/ideas. Site: https://BboxSeo.com

    1. 2

I'm also working on a project on SEO for small businesses. I haven't seen the landing page you were talking about. Sorry, it's my first day on Indie Hackers I'm a little bit lost. I put my landing page here www.genki-seo.com - I would be more than happy to talk with you about your project and our shared interest.

    2. 1

Hi Ben... imho a critical point in DesignJoy success is the fact that he shares his recent work, for free! So, a prospective customer can understand what he is actually buying before doing so, and check exactly what kind of result he will get by hiring DesignJoy.
This is easier to do with a design agency vs. an SEO agency, because designs can be easily assessed subjectively (visually), while SEO can only be assessed objectively.
Imho for your idea to really get the scale DesignJoy has, you must figure out how to show your recent work in a compelling way... how to showcase what you can do.
      Cheers!

So, I'm building datajob(.)io, a job board that helps data scientists find jobs in Germany.

Basically, we try to post jobs, where you would do actual meaningful work with ML / CV / NLP / DL / AI models. In addition to that we check if companies are able to offer visa sponsorship and relocation support.

We are doing this together with my brother Alex, who is a pro data scientist working here in Germany as well. Alex does the jobs screening and a little bit of online advertising, because of his background in marketing tech ML. And I do the rest.

PS I cannot yet post a proper link on the website, because I'm new and haven't yet crossed the required posts limit to enable link attachment. So don't be afraid to visit the site and share your feedback if any. ✌️

    Currently working on https://careersageai.com
SaaS for candidates to land their dream job with the power of AI tools

    1. 1

Resume is something I look at when I want to interview which isn't often(maybe after a couple years) so do people really sign up for a yearly plan? I would pay to use it for a week or a month max then come again when I need to. But if this pricing model works then awesome!

      1. 1

The target for the yearly plan is professionals or hiring agencies who help candidates get a job. They would have multiple clients who they are helping and would need to match multiple jobs/help create multiple resumes. Also provided an option to buy more credits if you need to for the same reason. Good question!

I'm excited to see the diverse projects and innovations that this community brings to life! Currently I'm focused on EraPDF, a SaaS solution designed to transform the way we handle PDF documents. As a fellow entrepreneur, I understand the pain of dealing with PDF data and the challenges of converting them into usable formats.

EraPDF's mission is to streamline the process of extracting PDF Tables and convert them into Excel files while preserving intricate layouts. What sets EraPDF apart is its commitment to precision, even when dealing with scanned documents. While I'm navigating the challenges of marketing and attracting the right user base, the core value of EraPDF lies in its ability to empower users who regularly handle PDF data.

I'd love to connect with other Indie Hackers who are working on projects that involve data manipulation, analytics, or similar domains. I'm new to the community so I'm not allowed to post links yet, If you're curious about EraPDF and its potential impact, just google EraPDF and go to the first result.

Let's continue building and shaping technology that addresses real pain points!

Hi Joseph, I just looked at your project. It looks interesting. I am working on pdfdesignapi.com, a solution that frees developers from writing and maintaining pdf template code. It's essentially a visual designer with data binding tools hooked up to an API.

I suspect that were not directly competing, but might face some of the same challenges in finding a product-market fit and ideal customers. Maybe we can help each other with some insights?

      1. 1

Hi, thanks for checking out EraPDF, I'm glad you found it interesting. Your project, pdfdesignapi.com, sounds like a fantastic solution! It's great to see innovation in the PDF space. While our projects might not be direct competitors I completely agree that we could share valuable insights and experiences in navigating the challenges of finding the right product-market fit and reaching ideal customers.

I'm definitely open to collaborating and exchanging insights. Feel free to send me a DM here or reach out via email at [email protected]. Looking forward to connecting and learning from each other's journeys!

https://otiv.dev - Automation tool for teams that use Notion and Slack.

Basically got 0 paying customers right now, but we are using it on all our internal projects - just started running Google ads to see if I can get some conversions. Would love some feedback - especially if you are the target audience - a team that uses Slack and Notion.

Just released a project doomed to fail: just3 (https://just3.tech) - the smallest IT job board in the world (only 3 job openings active at a time).

It was a nice opportunity to practice some frontend skills (I do mostly backend stuff in my normal job) and test Netlify platform.

Would love more feedback so please check it out if interested. (On iOS and Android) Thx 🤓

I am currently working on a passion project of mine - DynaSite.

At its core, it's a website builder, but what sets it apart is the virtual assistant feature. This handy tool aids in both design and, if you're into it, blog content generation.

It's particularly tailored for folks who might not be too tech-savvy. With DynaSite, setting up a site feels smooth, and there's an added perk for bloggers with our optional blogging feature.

I believe its simplicity and user-friendliness will resonate with many, but for those looking for a bit more finesse, we've got collaboration tools to easily bring in the tech experts.

DynaSite is still a work in progress, but for those curious, there's a waitlist set up with some neat discounts on offer at launch.

Would be awesome to hear your thoughts or any comments really!

    Cheers!

But now I'm thinking of stoping adding new features because it looks that adding things to the game doesn't affect organic traffic. Probably I should invest in SEO.. I've been creating content for the site for over a year and a half now. 99% of the content/curation is free to access; none of it is even gated!

Started monetising only recently. Currently at about $2k+ monthly run rate. About half of this revenue is from the 3 info products:

I'm aiming to ship a collection of 10 more such info products + 10 free resources by the year end.

    I'm working on Bouncenotes.com

It's a repetition algorithm for books you've read so you're less likely to forget the book.

I've been using it internally and frikkin love it. Like I'd finish atomic habits and my notes get bounced back to me with a spaced repetition system like duolingo allowing me to kinda have my memories of the book triggered and remember more things like the quotes, the top 4 things that constitute a good habit, other banger ideas etc.

I'm building a Text to Speech app that (primarily) converts HTML to SSML. So you pass it a URL, pick a voice (or use your default choice), and then click send, and within ~15 seconds, you've got yourself an audio file that you can either download or stream on the platform.

I've got the web app done, I just got to set up billing and the webhooks associated.

I've got the start of a Chrome Extension going, just need to build the UI. The idea there would be to open the chrome extension on a page, hit generate, and then be able to listen to it through the browser.

There's a bit of competition, but they're usually gimmicky and / or overpriced.

I'm starting out with Azure TTS voices, but would like to eventually build my own voices but that's not MVP. MVP is delivering excellent user experience and ease of use to better compete.

I am testing the waters re whether an app would be useful for men to track their dating progress in real life. I have historically struggled with dating, but after getting dating coaching and learning how to flirt and have exciting conversations, it changed everything for me. I think if men could learn the same, we wouldn't have 63% of men single in their twenties in the US. So the app would allow them to rate their interactions based on certain metrics (was there teasing, did the man ask for her number), track progress and then receive feedback on what they should be doing to improve.

I would love to hear feedback!

I'm building a habit tracker you can talk to with natural language.
and started building a mobile game, based on an old browsergame I started playing in the early 2000s and still playing it, but development is stuck and there are no new players, let's see if it will work out, but it's more complicated than I thought.
aaaand, as I need something creative phsyical todo with my hands from time to time, I bought a tufting gun and try to learn how to make rugs :D just google it, I am pretty excited about that right now!

    I'm working on Seamtube!
Whether you're a dance enthusiast, a language learner, or a content creator, Seamtube empowers you to easily create sequences with any Youtube video. You can seamlessly cut, repeat, slow down, and even mirror multiple video segments, and save this sequence.

I got the idea when I was in a dance club and discovered how painful it was for everyone to learn choreographies through Youtube videos. You spend your time finding back the perfect "time code" or running from the middle of the room to your computer/phone to replay specific parts of the video ...

For now, Genki is #15 of the day which is unbelievable for me. Did you launch on product hunt projects also and how did you manage the weird feeling of joy and stress to not be on par with what people are expecting of your first version of your project?
