My name is Alexander. I always like to see what other people are working on. This visibility let me discover new tools and services, which I was not aware of.
We can learn from others failures and mistakes and see how they succeed.
Share your products/service, share with us your story. I am honestly curious about your ups and downs.
I will start with our short story:
What we are working on
My colleague Kian and I are working on era.sh - a markdown note-taking tool for developers. ERA is electronJS based desktop app for Windows, Linux und MacOS. We focus on simplicity, great usability and privacy first. Your data gets stored in a local db, where only you have access to.
ERA is currently in beta, so if you are not satisfied with your current solution, give it a shot. If you are happy with your desired tool, I am still happy about your feedback.
The Problem
The biggest problem we faced was time. We are both working on full-time jobs (min. 50-60h/week). We had this idea of ERA, and validated it pretty soon after.
As we started mapping out our roadmap, we realised how time consuming this project is gonna be. We knew that we will have to sacrifice a lot to make ERA one day a success. The time issue was a huge deal in the beginning. We both had a very structured life, with friends, hobbies, family and relationships. So we had to cut down a lot of it for the sake of ERA.
I automated and delegated as much work as possible, to reduce working hours. Now I am currently working around 80-90h per week, 40h for my main job and 40-50h for ERA. It's still a huge sacrifice on a daily basis, but it's gonna be worth it.

Definitely hard combining a full-time job with another project on the side. In particular, deciding when you can start slowly dedicating more time to the latter.
I have been spending the past 3 months creating what I hope to be a wholesome resource to learn about Bitcoin. The idea was to go beyond merely explaining how Bitcoin works or what it is, but also help somebody understand why Bitcoin exists and why it can make such a big impact on people all over the world. In my opinion, the why is often neglected even though this is were most everyday people get hung up on.
Yesterday I decided to publish it for the first time. I am proud of the first version, although there are lots of things to improve and add. As it is an opensource GitBook project, I hope to make it community driven, so it can improve and remain updated over time. It is completely free for everybody. The goal really was to just add something of value to the Bitcoin space.
The upcoming days I will try to promote it here and there, just to make sure it gets the views and momentum I believe it deserves, and I hope it can kick start this collaboration process as well.

Hi Val!
That sounds amazing. I have always the question from non-tech people, why bitcoin is what it is, and how it works.
Maybe this can change a lot. Great job, I will give it a read as soon as I find some free minutes.
