With every new month comes a new chance to talk about what you're working on and meet other founders. Here's how you can join the discussion:
- First, respond to someone else who's commented, just to say hello or leave them some feedback!
- Next, leave your own comment describing what you're working on (or aspiring to work on), and your biggest goal for October.
That's it!
Excited to hear from everyone and see what you're working on!
This month I'll be participating in the 30-Day Women Make challenge and I will try to ship my first ever online course! I've been procrastinating on this because I feel so out of my depth with this format — much more used to writing — but I feel ready to tackle this beast of a project!
You seem to be everywhere these days - well done getting yourself and your work out there!
Many thanks!
I'm still deciding whether or not to jump in, oh the time, need to find the time!
I know right 🙈
Loving your updates recently - congrats on your PH launch!
Thank you! 🙏
Hope everything goes well with it :D
Thank you! :)
Good luck with launching your online course and congrats for the launch of MakerMind on ProductHunt :)
Thank you so much!
This month I'm planning to launch Remote Leaf. Already launched the MVP version of it, but gonna try to get more paying customers :)
@satvikpendem
Like it, how are you finding the jobs to post?
Are you reaching out to companies directly or another method?
We source remote jobs from tons of remote job boards and company career pages.
Nice work! I really like your design.
Thank you! ❤️
Great website, congratulations! A/B testing the pricing could be valuable.
The biggest challenge I see with finding remote jobs is filtering out irrelevant jobs based on the region. Sometimes companies identify the job as a remote friendly, but in the description itself they mention that they are looking only in America or specific timezone. Do you have any plans of tackling this issue? It could be awesome to have ability to filter out only those offers from companies based in Europe or fully distributed across the globe.
Perfectly written, this is the exact challenge that we are trying to solve with Remote Leaf.
We go though each job and tag the location and the skill category by checking the job description manually.
May be I should re-write my Landing page copy to specify these things clearly? Can you glance through it to see can you able to understand what we were discussing above.
Sounds awesome.
Not necessary, your landing page seems to be pretty good. I would bring an idea of having a separate page that would list all career pages and all job boards that you use to hand-pick jobs. That could strengthen the value proposition of saved time instead of doing the job search yourself.
I am working on completing the MVP of my new project management tool for freelancers. Hopefully the beta will be launched in mid-October ! :)
What are you doing in the meantime to build up an audience / momentum? Nudge :)
For the moment I am not doing anything particular, except talking about it on the facebook groups of French entrepreneurs and publishing some articles / collecting emails on the landing page / blog :)
Thanks to my other blog (gaming), I have a list of about 3000 subscribers, among whom there are many freelancers. I also collect email addresses thanks to the portfolios I find on internet (by typing for example "community manager freelance" on google). This allows me to build a first database of prospects to contact for when the application will be officially available :)
Looking forward to this. :)
This month I'm focusing on marketing and trying to get more paying customers. I launched in a couple of catalogues and I'm gathering valuable user feedback. Emailing takes most of my day.
This week I'm releasing localized currencies - a requested feature.
So happy you relate on the email front. I spend hours emailing people every single day - brings gradual success but a massive drag that has to be done! Hope you have a good month
Thank you
How are you finding success with your marketing and what are you doing?
What's the product?
It's syften.com - maybe you'll find it useful, it helps small business find first users
Syften looks really cool! Signing-up now :)
Good luck with getting more paying customers! It can be tedious to email lots of people but it often pays off!
Oh it is, but the replies have been fantastic.
This month we are working on:
I would say the biggest goal in October for ExportData.io is getting more traffic and more feedback (understanding what features people would love us to develop next).
I'm working on www.chooseyourplant.com which is a plant marketplace to discover plants, know its cares, tips and tricks and more! I'm building a community.
That looks nice...and I never know how to look after plants so it may come in use! :)
Curious to know how it (will) make money.
I will ask you for money then hahaha nah just kidding.
I think I will only monetize in case I have visitors. I can place shops as ads, sponsors, etc
But I think it's a difficult think to monetize
This month I am working on my personal GatsbyJS website. Today I've connected WordPress backend to get posts and maybe pages in the future.
The performace is OMG!
Working on projecthatch.co
Missed 10k users this month but will hit it for October!
Tidying up some loose ends with new functionality for TrackMyLift as well as getting together my second phase of marketing for it.
I've been pushing Simple Board a little to get some signups for early access. Have gained > 300 email addresses thus far with not alot of effort. In the midst of this I created a tool, which I may release as a separate product as well on the side, side 👏🏻!
https://trackmylift.app
https://simpleboard.tech
Launched on Product Hunt today! Here's my milestone https://www.indiehackers.com/product/mailfloss/launched-on-product-hunt-so-nervous--Lq6VIHw98MdAmXKAEYq
Then I need to get back to working on the product. PH has taken up a ton of my time and energy and there are just little things I'm excited to improve in the onboarding process, in the UI, and in the reporting. Then there are bigger things I'm excited about like some new features but that might come later.
I also need to find a virtual assistant to help me with a lot of little tasks like scheduling social media, blog posts, etc.
Seems like you did quite wel on the PH launch, did it bring in many new users?
9 new trialing subscribers, a few customers who purchased prepaid credits, a couple of affiliates, a handful of email subscribers and one scammer 😂😻
Overall I was quite happy with everything but really glad it is over. I missed working on the product, and I don't think a "launch" is really the best way to go about promoting my business. I am quite grateful for the opportunity, of course, but I think I can use my resources more effectively now going forward.
I've been struggling with my time management so this month, I'm going to focus completely on marketing for my app(and staying on task). The website www.RyzeRewards.com is in decent shape (I think) and now I'm trying to get users to download the app and get as much feedback as I possibly can and some early adopters.
I'm focusing on a new UI and marketing for Visitmotion.com. I'll be reaching out to bloggers and content writers/marketers to try and get publishers onboard and using the platform!
I'll also be writing more blog posts myself to help funnel potential users to the product.
After a round of customer interviews and digging into the analytics for pageflows.com, I’m reworking the site navigation and organisation with the aim of making it much quicker and easier to find relevant user flows.
In terms of business goals, the main focus for this month is around retention, so I’ll be looking for new ways to improve that once the new navigation is shipped.
Wow this is awesome! Seen your website before and as a designer I love it. Using real apps for inspiration is so much better than any unusable design on dribbble.
How did you come up with the pricing? I love the concept, but I haven't been convinced to pay yet. Even though I have access to a few free posts, as a user I'm still not sure if there's enough content for me. Have you thought about membership trials?
The pricing was a bit of trial and error, but there's still work to do there.
I've thought about trials, but the problem is a decent chunk of customers sign up for a couple of specific apps. With a free trial they would be able to get what they need then cancel without paying.
With that being said, with the new navigation I'm working on, non-customers will be able to see all the content available, without actually being able to watch the videos, but it should give people a better idea of what's behind the paywall.
Good luck! Retention is HARD. Would love to read your findings once you've experimented with a few strategies.
Working on my own private website www.elyfornoville.com to keep me motivated.
Also working on a website that lists diabetes friendly restaurants. First MVP should not take long to get up and running.
This month I will be publishing the first ever blog for https://womenhustlers.com
I figured that most things that I published were user generated. So I wanted a place to share my own creativity as well and therefore the blog
I will be sharing some well curated marketing case studies cutting the usual SEO BS. Hope that it turns out to be helpful
This month I'm growing https://www.joinsecret.com/ We help entrepreneurs save $$$ on the best software (AWS, Airtable, Pipedrive, etc.) when launching their business. It's totally free. Maybe some of you will be interested in some apps for yourselves!
I'm working on building out the MVP of my trading journal app!
Trying to get it to a basic set of features, but make it really smooth to use.
Do you plan to launch it this month?
I'm currently in an alpha release stage to a VERY small set of users I found, as I want ed to find design flaws early on.
The next step I'm aiming for is beta release, which I hope to do next month.
I'm a single developer working on this after work and have never made a product out of a side project before, so there is a bit of a learning curve!
We’ve got several major launches coming up including a rather ambitious holiday promo. Leading up to that we are coordinating live events to support some 14 separate new workshops 🤪
I’ve been busy organizing and migrating to Notion as our “source of truth” and so far that is going very well.
Are live events part of the paid membership?
We’ve got some that are. These are more of a casual “live stream” practice session. Then we also layer in a ticketed/paid workshop.
It’s been a massive shift for us this year, but so far so good. Most of the live sessions, paid or free, are inputs for the production of our “traditional” edited video content.
My main goal for October will be to develop and launch paid insight reports for SocialTracker. It's been great to see the project grow over the last couple of months but in order to prove market fit getting paying customers will be crucial.
Open beta, then launch https://www.1brand.co. It's the easiest way to build brand guidelines for your company, product, or project. I could use some more beta users, please!
I'm trying to build up my website https://www.prisimanimations.com Seo. I don't want to rely on social media post as my only source of traffic anymore.
Right now it's not going to hot :p
Don't get put off, SEO is a long game...
Well since I launched thegoodstartup.com very, VERY recently this week, I'll be gauging feedback and analytics to see where I can go from here! Gonna update my workflows to find the best days of the week to interview founders running companies saving the world, determine the best days to write and publish, and then spend the rest of my time on marketing!
I currently redesign the whole UI of ServerMonitor. My first design was created with Bootstrap and it looked... well, very bootstrapy. Now, I changed my whole UI Framework to TailwindCSS and it makes a difference. Take a look at it! It's not finished yet, but I really like the new design of my landing page. It's not July, but my goal for this month is to get the design done and collecting some first emails. ;)
We're working on an MVP of this: http://vidvam.com. Just one more refinement to get done and then it'll be ready for us to let our friends and family Beta test it.
This month I am working on growing www.albumdaily.com , getting more users. It is a free product, so hopefully (!!!) it is easier to get users.
This month I’m working on growing the logo game
This month I'm building a new UI UX for Blocksurvey and re-launching it.

Prototyping is done using Adobe XD with the help of a designer and now working on the production of landing pages this week. May I know your product?
This month, I'm slowly launching https://www.bitcompare.net which is a comparison site for crypto savings accounts. I'll be pushing on Product Hunt and other outlets. We'll also be pushing a lot of product updates, so I'd love some feedback.
The fact that it's more than just comparisons is brilliant. You've really taken you time to explain the process from start to finish in the most simple yet elegant way that a new user would easily be able to understand. Site looks clean and great.
That’s really nice of you to say. It was a lot of work, so your comment is really appreciated!
Nice? Perhaps, but you really have built one heck of an informative site.

That's strange. It seems to be working fine. Maybe try again?

Please message me when you do release it. I'm super curious and interested.

I have and have not found any of them to be helpful or accurate. For me, I really want to find a way to keep track of my mental health. Working for a startup can be stressful sometimes and I really want to make sure I can continue to function at the rate I'm going. Keeping track of my mood will give me better insight into when I function most optimally I think and how my process affects how I feel.

I think I would totally use it. Self-Awareness is always the first step.
