Getting my new blog online. I want to create a space for me to write about all things community, rosie + indie hacking.

After my IH podcast was published someone emailed me that rosie.land was available as a domain. I had another domain that I was going to use, but this one makes me all kind of happy, haha. So I've grabbed that and will get something up there very soon! I'll be using Indie Hacker type tools for all my publishing efforts.

I'm coming into month 3 of development on https://delaynote.com - It's a website block builder for musicians. The goal is being able to create an entire website for your band with a few clicks and zero code experience.

I'm working on Indie Hackers of course! I set aside some time today to edit a couple of podcast episodes with Adam Wathan and Aline Lerner. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get some work done on the new milestones feature. Ideally I'll implement email reminders for product page owners to post milestones.

Outside of work, I'd love to spend a few hours reading this weekend; I already lifted weights today, and I hope to again tomorrow; and I've got an old friend in town I can't wait to catch up with. I've got to be careful that my weekends don't turn into weekdays. 😂

I'm working on finishing touches for a Shopify app that I am building. Making a few last-minute decisions before I submit it to the Shopify app store.

I’ve gone camping in my VW campervan. I’m enjoying being in the quiet nature and simultaneously doing a Deep Learning specialization on Coursera. Turns out it’s a great combo. :D

• Go for a walk to clear my head a bit (and catch up on IH in the process)
• Finish handling webhooks for canceling a subscription
• Build the pricing page
• Connect subscription selection stuff to the backend
• build a couple of premium features
• launch premium to the world

I am challenging myself to create three apps in three months, and I've begun the work on the first app. It's an app combining time tracking, to-do lists and commitment chains. It's supposed to help people set goals and be more motivated to stick with them by seeing how much they have accomplished on a day.

Saturday's almost over here, but I worked on the workflow of the app and the copy for each screen.

Tomorrow, I'll finish whatever's left from today's tasks, and start designing the app.

I've spent the weekend pitching https://helpmepropose.live to every positive-news (like Upworthy) outlet/journalist, blogger, email newsletter, and Twitterer I can think of. So far, very few responses, and most are not positive.

Today, I will contact blogs to let them know about the relaunch of https://theoriq.com. I had found it difficult to in the past to find a blog list which publications which I can reach out to. I'll try a hack which popped up in my mind some time ago : Google previous startup who launch and contact publications which covered their launch. Experimenting!

I'm working on creating the best end-to-end session management library for NodeJS and MongoDB. Minimising attack possibility + building a robust mechanism to detect token theft if that happens. Also, making it as efficient as possible in terms of time and space complexity.

Working on building a spec for a new SaaS product I'm going to start building

I'm proving out a conceptual model for AutomatedApi that'll get me publishing updates faster and rolling on clients in short order. Deep Azure and Docker stuff, and there isn't much to go on re examples to follow with this combination of operations, so it's challenging enough to be fun. Hoping to have it running tomorrow morning, but the learning today means the weekend can already be called a success in my book.

Going to İstanbul for a meeting. I hope we can agree with the terms and get a new partner to work with. Pretty excited news for me because we have been working for 7 months to get here. :D

Working on https://nonprofitremote.com. Creating search engine for qualified candidates where employers can filter out. Reading and weeding through applied candidate profiles. The users are growing, and it is rewarding to provide resources to people that is helpful.

Started the day drafting a plan for an idea I had on how to fill a gap in the bookmarking/link sharing market.

I was able to get answers for the following questions/topics:

• Idea
• USP
• What is the job people will hire the app for?
• How's the problem solved today?
• Some competitor analysis.
• Pricing strategy/model
• Key features

Plans now are to do some tech research to figure out what will be needed in order to get a prototype in place that I can use both in the landing page and to create some early access program for the app.

We've got our first few customers ready to use our product and they already have feature requests! Hoping to implement some of these over the weekend and email them about it on Monday.

Other than that, I'm going to spend some time with my family for Father's Day and watch the U.S. Open.

This weekend I’m restyling a large portion of PanelJam to make the whole experience more mobile-friendly, especially the drawing tools. With phones in mind, I’ll be taking all of my JavaScript through a good audit for performance, too.

Taking a chill(er) weekend after nearing burnout over the past few months. Going to get back into blogging for my app - specifically around mental health and habits. It's always hard to get started but enjoyable in the end, and the few I've written have really helped w/ traffic.

Been working on tweaking the landing page of https://www.whingr.com

Added a demo section so that users can experiment with the Slack bot features without having to go through the whole on-boarding process. Hopefully that will help filter out people that are just curious and get the ones that are potential customers to sign up.

I'm working on a few things, but the biggest for me is https://www.Gnotes.io.( It's pronounced notes). But it's a learning platform built on top of YouTube. It's going to help people who learn on YouTube take notes more easily when studying a topic. It's a long way off from finished, but because people's encouragement on IH I'm going to launch it soon.

18 months in! And I've built (building) an online training log and program builder for strength training http://www.strength.club

Currently have ~300 paying users (paying either $5 or $10 a month) and this is growing about 50% per month. less than 1% churn which is surprising.

This weekend we're trying to solve the issue as to why so many people are signing up, verifying their account but then not activating the free trial.

I'm currently trying to workout how to best market my new product Newny. It's a collaboration tool for groups. A great way to collect insights and ideas quickly.

I am replacing the backend for my aws bill summarizer app Billgist.com. It’s currently implemented in golang for the csv parser + Elasticsearch + bunch of ruby scripts into Postgres. It’s brittle, slow, and forces me to run a large digitalocean server. I’m changing it into a serverless data pipeline that uses AWS S3 + lambda, pushes data into dynamodb.

I just started hiring people for my startup. I think for me this was the point I realised I had a business.

Building my first product that uses Adonis + Nuxt stack. Been really, really fun to work with so far. Will reveal more info about what I'm building over the next couple of weeks; but this is my first personal "for fun" project in a long time, so I'm enjoying myself.

I am tinkering around with Bubble. Yesterday I made a webflow "coming soon" template, applied on webflow as a designer and started on a hotel CMS template. The webflow stuff is for some side income while I work on https://www.founderpad.co/ The biggest issue with FounderPad is the amount of time it takes to search for resources. For example, I recently added a videos section but quickly realized how difficult it is to find good videos (I have to watch them to see if they are worth adding). Then there is the growth playbook I have to assemble now that people have signed up for it. The ultimate goal is to enable user-generated content on FounderPad but creating user accounts and building a community. I've been thinking about how it will be different from Indie Hackers (no point in recreating an already great community) so there's that challenge.

My weekends are workdays. I haven't had a single relaxing weekend for over 3 months. Just working weekends, nights, non-stop. Most of the time I feel like a zombie ;) working until 1-3 am every single day and kiddo wakes me up at 6 am sharp.

I'm hoping to figure out Bubble enough to allow user sign ups and content submission.. then I can focus on building a differentiated community.

Thinking about what other events I could organise and what sponsors would fit those events.

Also structuring a blog post on how I got to the idea of doing events for international students.

I just finished creating my landing page! This weekend was a lot of mockups, copy, and publishing tiny updates to gitlab because I didn't like small details haha.

I'm hoping to get some work done on the product this weekend as well. I'm specifically tackling teams/workspace management right now!

It went viral again yesterday (>200k visitors) and geocoding went offline because I hit my rate limit on LocationIQ. Yesterday I built a simple geocoder and today I expanded it to support the top 190,000 cities worldwide.

As one of the minority of people here on IH with a physical product, I find my software development background helpful even when dealing with these real-world aspects of my business!
