I'm working on the free web dev mini-bootcamp from Lambda school (Thanks IH podcast for turning me onto them!).
I just finished the 2nd lesson about HTML and CSS and i made a super crappy local web page, but i wrote 50 something lines of code myself that actually produced something which I'm still pretty stoked about.
Hoping to get through at least one more lesson if not a couple.
How long did it take you to complete each lesson?
I've only completed two but the first one I did along with the 1 hr video, pausing when needed, so I was done by the time I finished the video.
The second one i started after watching the full second video and it took me a couple hours. I'm pretty new so I had to look a lot of stuff up.
I'm going to scratch my itch from RIGHT NOW, and start PAGE (Peer Advisory Group for Entrepreneurs, yes that's a made-up acronym). The idea is to do video sessions once every other week, and get/give the best possible feedback, cheer victories and give a shoulder when someone is in a hard time, network with other people and mainly learning from each other.

Thanks for the feedback! If you're referring to the PAGE acronym it was a joke, but still looking for a cool way to call it that still makes clear the goal of the group.

Thanks. Some of the users have some questions about the service, like adding new categories, types of jobs and stuff like that. So I've decided to add Drift. You are annoying with opening chat pop-up automatically? Even I feel that.
So I'll see is there a way to stop it from opening chat automatically. So that if users need help, they can land in the chat.
Building a new homepage for https://taskade.com to showcase our mobile apps more clearly. It was originally built for the Chrome Extension. Any ideas are welcome!
How many people do you have working on all of the app versions?
We are a small team of 5. Everything is built on React, so it is much easier to manage.

Do you also have paid features yet or just building the audience? Tried to search for some and couldn't find any. I'm trying to build an mvp for my small product that's gonna have almost no cool features, just basic stuff with couple of interesting solutions and keep it free for a while, so its really interesting how other people handle it :)

Suddenly got featured in the top3 products on product hunt today with https://frontloops.io somehow even though I launched it on Thursday with like 7 upvotes. So instead of freelancing - spending my time to keep it up and fight for top 1 :D
Wait, what? Are you able to elaborate on that a bit more? I thought that your product pretty much disappears after 24h unless you have a ton of upvotes?

Hey! It looks like PH is trying to make more views for products by featuring them, so as they tell in their guide - it doesn't really matter nowadays when you launch your product. I launched mine by mistake 2 minutes before the day ended, so got to yesterday block initially :D However they featured me yesterday in the morning and I found myself in top 3 with 20 upvotes (compared to 7 upvotes I got on my launch day) and ended up with ~340 upvotes by the end of the day and #2 place.
Probably I'll make a post about my experience, got some useful hints that helped me :)

The tech is simple and easy, we're good there. So I've been working the past few days on the onboarding process and building value that's unrelated to the tech (but makes the lives of everyone affected by the GDPR easier).
Cool. Being able to simply convey the concepts in an understandable way is so big with GDPR stuff.
Working on auth for my mvp, have to fix some minor issues with restricted endpoints and implement login after to finally start working on business logic

I'd say the main difference is that Unsplash (or other stock photo websites like Wikimedia Commons or Getty Images) focus first on people who want to use their content, while I focus first on content creators, and second on people who want to see their content, so more like Flickr or Instagram.
Another big difference is that you can run your own Picture instance in a few Docker containers or on Heroku/Dokku because the code is open source (MIT).
It's interesting because it's a question of where you want to put your focus. I like Flickr or Instagram but I want a more decentralized, open, and diverse web, without ads and tracking, so I'm trying to work on that!

I'm building the new landing page for accelerlist.com - first update we've had in maybe a year and half. We had only a few dozen customers back then and now we have a few hundred, so we're taking this as our opportunity to rebrand upwards.
We're also getting ready to launch a new product in the Amazon space, and gearing up to get a few people in for our beta.

For Intro I identified that some users were quitting the app during onboarding (and not returning) when invited to sync with their iPhone contacts. I've re-thought this process, since it's always been the case that you can use Intro without this if you want to... I'm therefore moving the invitation to be something the user triggers themselves when they make a decision to sync while using the app themselves. This weekend, I'm going to complete the implementation of this and ship the update to App Store review.
Meanwhile, would love any feedback on this iPhone app. Lightweight CRM in your pocket, designed for your brain. Focussed on managing your personal and professional network, with a particular focus on helping you learn people's names, keep track of interactions, and retrieve information when you can only recall fragments. :)
