What are your biggest pain points as a freelancer?

I've been freelancing as a software developer for a little over 2 years and boy oh boy I've had quite the experience. Despite enjoying the freedom of freelancing, one thing really bothered me about freelancing. Being my own boss.

Being my own boss meant I had to properly manage my time (which I obviously didnt). Instead of working whenever I want, I was working pretty much all the time.

So that's my pain point. What are your pain points as a freelancer?

I miss social contact with colleagues. Being my own boss is wonderful, and governing my own time is equally great. But I would love to have more people around me.
I'd like to do more coworking, but the coworking spaces in my city are a bit expensive and very few people use them actually.

Yeah man. I feel that too. Even though I work remotely for a company, being around with my colleagues would probably be an awesome experience

Hey @infraredCoding pain point as a freelancer was to balance my time between finding exciting & credible freelance projects versus actually working on the projects to ensure they are successfully delivered.

(Shameless plug) Being frustrated about the same, I started Glyph (www.glyphleads.com)

Glyph sends personalized freelance opportunities from all over the internet straight into your inboxes that allow freelancers to discover exciting opportunities from the comfort of their inboxes

I had the same issue as you Imran, I end up working quite a lot and filling my time with it rather than feeling in control. I think many of us suffer from inflating tasks to fill the time that we have rather than taking up the minimum, leaving us with surplus. This is one of my biggest problems.

Socially I've never had an issue, I have hobbies / interests outside of work, and if I want co-workers there are always co-working spaces around. Although I do agree these can be expensive but then there are plenty of meetups/events/conferences etc. where I can meet people.
